It won't be called death panel, but that is what it is. They are not Doctors, but will decide whether the eldely get future care, or will be allowed to die. You can call them something pretty, but they are a death panel, and everyone knows it except you.
A lie, of course, but it would be a good idea to let more elderly Republicans and Teabaggers pass on to their just reward. Who needs you?:)

Republicans will not take part in a death Panel. Plus there is a good chance no one will need a panel, because it will be repealed. It is going before the Supreme Court again.
How much do you have to pay your buddies on the supreme court to guarantee the ruling you want?

What do you think insurance companies have been doing? Cancelling someone because they have cancer is the same thing. Except that private companies profit from denying treatment and a slow(but not too slow) painful death .

You'd be better off praying for a clue. Cat74 is an insane, out-of-control poster who makes false claims and NEVER backs them up. NEVER.

EXACTLY. But to these folks, if the government does anything remotely like that, it's a "death panel."

In this case it's more a question of deciding end-of-life care for the terminal, of course, but you can't telll the Righties that.

effing pathetic.
The U.S.A still does NOT have Universal Health care.

Here's a Map of the Countries That Provide Universal Health Care

(America's Still Not on It)

The U.S. stands almost entirely alone among developed nations that lack universal health care.

All we have are rules that say that YOU GOTTA BUY INSURANCE and if you can't afford it then the government helps them out with YOUR TAX dollars.

Definitely NOT universal healthcare.

Agreed...only a national, single-payer healthcare plan will provide universal care. I'd also like to see the entire healthcare industry, includig big Pharma, converted to a not-for-profit basis. People should be paid well for complex and difficult jobs like being a doctor or surgeon, but healthcare in general should NOT be for profit. It corrupts the entire process.

The Republicans know the Americans do not want Obamacare. They will stay away from it as far as possible. Same with internet tax, and illegal amnesty for illegal aliens

Yes, Americans understand that Obamacare will not help improve health care access. The problem for the GOP is that they can't run away from their own creation.

it’s worth remembering that Republican presidential icon Ronald Reagan imposed his own national healthcare mandate on the country. The mandate is well know today — it requires emergency rooms to treat anyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay — but the fact that Reagan signed it into law is often forgotten.
.
.
George H.W. Bush used "the tax system to 'encourage and empower' individuals to buy health insurance and would enact insurance market reforms that make it possible for everyone -- even if they have pre-existing health problems -- to get insurance." In short: individuals would be mandated to buy catastrophic health insurance. The cost of that coverage would be tied to income, meaning that the poorer you were, the less expensive your policy would be.
.
.
George W Bush addressed several problem areas in health care during his presidency and had plans to pass more legislation to “make health care more accessible and affordable.”
.
.
Dwight Eisenhower "We must aid in cushioning the heavy and rising costs of illness and hospitalization to individuals and families. Provision should be made, by Federal reinsurance or otherwise, to foster extension of voluntary health insurance coverage to many more persons, especially older persons and those in rural areas. Plans should be evolved to improve protection against the costs of prolonged or severe illness. These measures will help reduce the dollar barrier between many Americans and the benefits of modern medical care."
.
.

Richard Nixon, proposed major reforms that are echoed in today's Affordable Care Act, including the following:
• A program to ensure that no American family will be prevented from obtaining basic medical care by inability to pay;
• A major increase in aid to medical schools;
• Incentives to improve the delivery of health services, particularly in low-resource areas;
• Greater use of medical assistants;
• New programs to encourage better preventive medicine;
• Incentives to doctors "to keep people well rather than just to treat them when they are sick"; and
• An additional $100 million to find a cure for cancer.
During his address he asserted, "America has long been the wealthiest nation in the world. Now it is time we became the healthiest nation in the world."
.
.
to those of you that think the GOP hasn't been talking about universal healthcare for daces, I say to you:
WAKE UP!!!!!!!
