Millions of Americans will be able to shop for the first time Tuesday on the insurance marketplaces that are at the heart of President Barack Obama's health care reforms, entering a world that is supposed to simplify the mysteries of health coverage but could end up making it even more confusing, at least initially.

Thanks to President Obama and his signature piece Law of the land the Affordable Care Act (OBAMACARE), millions of Americans can now afford Health Insurance, millions with Health Insurance will see their premiums go down (I got a rebate check a few months ago from Humana), and millions of Americans lives will be saved thanks to check ups and prescription drugs that otherwise wouldn’t have happened or been affordable.

I am so happy that patriotic Americans won in 2008 and 2012 by electing Obama in 2 landslides.

HAPPY OBAMACARE DAY!

My health care bill did not go down why do they call it the affordable health care act? They are big liars is why.

If this is his legacy and signature act then Obama is a total failure.

It is not health care either, it is an insurance bill that is all.

They got to believe the misinformation that fox news and right-wing radio has been feeding them over the past number of years or their whole world will implode. Just think back to the 2012 Elections when all the polls showed President Obama kicking Mitt Romney’s ass, but the tea-baggers were everywhere proclaiming that they were winning because they took real poll numbers and twisted and distorted them until they got the number they were happy with. And then on Election Night they were stunned and shocked… even Karl Rove had a conniption in the fox news studios, LOL!

Just sit back and watch them have their hissy fits and laugh as reality kicks in and they realize that the Black President won again.

how much did your health care costs go up in the last decade before Obamacare was enacted? what parts of the ACA have taken affect already that you would have expected to lower your rates?

I am not the one calling it the affordable health care act, Obama did, it is not how much did mine go up in the last decade but why his is not lowering my cost.

The biggest problem with healthcare is not coverage but the outrageous cost we pay. As the richest nation on earth I expect to pay more but not double, triple or for some kinds of care more than that. Our healthcare may be better but it is not that much better and we don't get any better outcomes than some countries spending half as much. Obamacare does not fix this, not even close. If you are below 133% of the poverty line you will get something out of this bill but most of the 45 million uninsured are not insured because they can't afford it, guess what, they still can't afford it.

US Congress led by the GOP great Boehner and Cantor have the right and obligation to protect the American people from a fraudulent law that was sold in 2010 as cover up hidden within 2000 pages that nobody in the Senate or Congress ever read. Now the American people learning that the law destroy their jobs, decrease their salary significantly and make them depend of bunch of IRS henchmen that knows and controls every detail of their health record, bank account and private life. Why would the Federal employees and Congress above the law and get a major break from the corrupt Obama-Reid socialistic regime as the 'preferred liberal Americans' while the hard working Americans mostly conservatives should pick up the bill for them? Where is the American constitution that demands one law for all including Obama, Michele Obama and their two daughters that should pay and enjoy the sour grapes called Obamacare? The American people were deceived by Obama-Reid-Pelosi conspiracy to push down our throat a bill that you will know what in it after the congress approve it. The truth about the fact that the Obama law destroys jobs and sends them over the ocean or to Mexico was not mentioned when the 2000 pages of socialistic Maoist agenda was written behind closed doors based on the Alinsky change of America instruction. The American people were lied to by Obama and the cost for a family now increases by $10,000 compared to Obama's false promises. It is time to stop the wreck train of the liberal Democrat liars and stop the IRS liberal zealous henchmen oppression of the conservatives and treating them as the enemies of America. Enough is enough with the lies of Obama and the Obama care will never be accepted by the American people regardless of the sold-out Judge Roberts appeasement of Obama with the of the bench new law which Roberts called 'a new tax' that the American people reject.

Hey moron.

Obamacare was written by the big insurance companies for the insurance companies. Their stocks have doubled because of it.

The entire law is designed to increase the enrollments of the big insurance companies to increase their bottom line. And if one that does not have insurance through these insurance companies can be fined up to $2500/yr.

It was never designed to provide health coverage to the people who didn't have it. It was designed to increase the enrollments of the insurance companies.

You don't get it with healthcare cost triple what others are paying slowing if it is evening happening is not good enough. By the way it is doing nothing to slowing health care spending, the only reason it appears that way is that the bill also cuts 800+ billion out of medicare. And estimates are that 30 million of the 45 million uninsured will still be uninsured.

Obamacare does not address the biggest problem with our healthcare system it is a massive solution to something which is not the problem.

yes, the ACA failed to even try to address many of the health care system problems we have in the US. what is your plan to do that?

the ACA was designed to extend health care coverage to more citizens. it will do that.

Yes they did and for over 2 years now. Unless of course you are not getting the routine annual tests and exams you should be, which would be your responsibility. Thanks to the ACA, those of us who have had any PSA screenings, mammograms, PAP smears, colonoscopies and many more preventive care procedures done, it was at no cost, thanks to Obamacare.
Just because you are ignorant of that fact, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

6 years after Romney Care took effect in a gentrified state with some of highest tax rates in the nation they are still modifying and throwing new money at it. They had to pass a law 6 years after the fact and warnings to allow physician assistants and nurse practitioners to act as primary care providers. They had to add millions for electronic record keeping. Still modifying and compensating for Romney Care 6 years after the fact and counting.

More progressive math--the cost of something doesn't go up as much as usual and they consider it a savings--much as they do with baseline budgeting. The fact is that Øbama swore that insurance and health care costs would go down, and they have not, nor will they ever.
