What are the "modest" wage increases the union is asking for? I hear 4%. That's not so modest but also just hearsay. The company seems to be pretty transparent with what they are offering but have nit seen the same from the union. Why is that? Embarrassed to admit their greed?

No they just want to keep the benefits they worked years to have especially since the Company is making record profits and CEO makes nearly $3 million.

Constellium as a whole may be profitable but this particular plant is reported to have lost money 11 out of the last 13 years. The CEO runs 22 plants, why shouldn't he make $3 million?

If Constellium were making record profits from the Ravenswood facility they would be bending over backwards to keep product rolling out.

They'd make more money if their workers were on the inside, not the outside.

There's NO CEO in this country worth $3 million. That's only problem with this country. The rich continue to skim from the top and live like kings.

CEO's don't make their own salaries. It's illegal to do that. The Board of Directors determines CEO salaries. The Board is overseen by the shareholders (common folk). Blame your neighbors for approving the CEO's salary, not the CEO. Don't fault a guy for achieving the American Dream. Then you turn on the baseball game to watch A-Rod make $100 Million dollars and nobody complains.

Sounds like Obama-nomics rhetoric. Taken further, we should all live in a soviet style collective where everyone gets the same paycheck.

he is only the ceo of ravenswood. this place has not lost money 11 of the last 13 years. in 2010 the company did not even negotiate with the insurance. since 2009 the expense of our insurance has went way down while the company is making bigger profits than ever before. if they were losing money then why did they not go after the insurance? they are paying less for our insurance now then 2010.

You make no sense! The scabs came in when the Union was LOCKED OUT, not on strike. Get your facts straight before voicing an illiterate opinion.

Why DID the union allow these scabs into the union after the big mess a few years ago. I'd let them negoiate for themselves...unless the union just wanted the union dues $$$

They are losing money every month, and have been for quite some time. Luckily oter plants owned by Constellium are profitable so they make up for Ravenswood.
