Medicaid and Medicare do not cover most needs for people of the transgendered community. But that's the thing, it does cover what the LGB communities need, that's why it doesn't get brought up. The ones left out are the smallest minority yet lacking the treatments they need we pay a higher price in failing to address their needs. We who are not effected by this pay the highest price in compromising our humanity simply because of some idiotic social customs that the USA is stuck on. The financial impact of not treating them is also much higher than it would be if we just gave them what they really needed instead of worrying about stupid notions like the sexist concepts of sex.

So giving them the medical care they need would give the US back it's humanity and save a lot of money at the same time. Liberal or conservative, denying them proper care is hurting us.
