A small employer with 25 full time equivalent employees or less and pay an average wage of not more than $50,000.00 a year and who happens to pay at least half of Health Insurance Premiums makes him eligible for the Small Employer Health Care Tax Credit which will increase to 50% of premiums paid for small business employers on 2014. Exchanges are created by the PPACA in order to facilitate the purchase of Health Insurance wherein small business that form a group for insurance purposes, which is to distribute financial risk, are allowed to acquire health care policy for their employees. Choices are in the form of metal tier of coverage are made available in the Exchange, where qualified small employers offer their employees a choice of qualified health plan.
