maybe the shutdown will be a good thing. It might finally get our legislators and president to sit down and come up with compromise instead of wanting only their point of view. Yes we need to cut government spending, but Boehner seems to be taking it too far. I feel that we need to cut foreign spending instead of American social programs. I feel that every government department needs to root out wasteful spending or be told to cut their budget by a percentage. Our president and legislators need to cancel all trips at our expense. Tell them to use the phone company conference. Most of their trips are wasteful and serve no purpose other than to spend taxpayer money.

Why don't democrats want to protect their exemption from the same Obamacare that they want to force on the country. I think a shutdown would be wonderful - the only thing the government does for the Americans that actually pay taxes is take their money. The government does its most productive work for the people when it is shut down. If Obamacare is so great remove ALL of the exemptions and treat the politicians just the same as the people they are SUPPOSED to represent. Otherwise shut it down for as long as it takes.
