Somehow you guys are debating 9.2 million jobs over the last 50 months is not solid growth from losing 600,000 jobs per month under Bush.

Obama referred to “more than 8 million new jobs our businesses have created over the past four years.” That’s true as far as it goes, but it’s a highly selective statistic.

It’s true that nearly 8.2 million private sector jobs have been added since February 2010, which was the low point of the great job slump that began a year before Obama took office and continued through his first year. But total employment has risen less – by 7.6 million – held back by layoffs of state and local government workers. Obama was technically correct, as he was careful to speak of jobs “our businesses have created.”

His 8 million figure also leaves aside the nearly 4.2 million private sector jobs that were lost between the time he took office and the time the slump bottomed out. Overall, the net job gain since he took office stood at just over 3.2 million (or nearly 4 million if counting only private sector jobs), as of the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics figures for December.

That is correct. But gasoline prices were up during Bush's years because there was a lot of economic activity. Now prices are up and not much economic activity going on.
Bush brought out reserves, Obama didn't try, his goal is to pay 9.00 a gal.

The ACA doesn't need to "spin" anything. It's only the Obama-hating liars on the Right that are and have been "spinning" all along.

My fave is the idiots who believe that though millions have signed up, none have 'paid their premiums' and therefore 'Obamacare' is somehow a 'fraud.'

LOL!

That's amazingly stupid.

Even the dumbest of the dumb Democrats can see the handwriting on the wall. We knew from the beginning Barack, and Hillary lied about the Muslim massacre, but no one could foresee that they would be stupid enough to keep on lying, and force the Republicans to name a Select Committee to get to the truth.

4 million jobs counts the loss of jobs from Sept 2008, when the totals came to 2.4 million thru Mar 2009. Job loss was a steady decline from Jan 2006 then the sign of depression became evident. That went with the 10 million outsourced in the Bush terms

BLS Report only counts private sector growth. Federal Jobs havd declined by 100K since Obama reduced spending. The BLS 9.2 over the last 50 months refers to private sector growth that is spelled out in the BLS Data released monthly

The decline in jobs and economy cost Republicans the House Majority in Nov 2006. In Jan 07 Pelosi was selected Speaker.

Gas went over $3.00 to $4.25 in 2005. Til then we never paid more than $1.50 a gallon. Gas stayed over $4.00 until the nations economy collapsed and hit below $2.00 after the historic job loss and Market crash.

Persons marginally attached to the labor force are those who currently are neither working nor looking for work but indicate that they want and are available for a job and have looked for work sometime in the past 12 months.
U6=12.3
This looks accurate in describing U6. The 6 million looking for work, Part Time workers and any one who indicated they are available or looked once in a year.
