Yup, It came out last week that the push to make everything electronic help lead to this. I remember after the first Survivor in 2000 Dr Shawn; a contestent was asked why he didn't practice medicine more regulary and he said he basically became disallusioned when there was more discussion about billing and coding than patient care.
They keep on saying things like oh, any doctor anywhere will have your complete medical history. Right off the bat a centralized data base or open access to YOUR records is a privacy concern. Then do you honestly think a dr will read your entire medical history, maybe a week later but not in the ER.
Correct, and I just read an article today that the medicare supplemental drug insurance plans are going up 7-15%. That "donut hole" already costs a fortune and with this added expense, I am better off paying for the drugs out of pocket. So much for insurance company regulations, huh?

I hope everyone on here realizes that this is NOT a tax, but a fine for not buying mandated coverage, which is illegal to impose. But if you refer to it as a tax, then Odummbo broke one of his main campaign promises not to raise taxes on the middle class. mmmmmmm

if you want to get that sort of technical, you could say that it's not a tax at all, but a limitation on deductions

I consider letting the payroll tax cut to lapse to be a tax hike too
