The uptick is the parents are paying for an extra four years of coverage. This is the demographic the administration covets because they figure if they can groom, indoctrinate or simply get the young adults to get used to having health care coverage they'll do more to get it and/or keep it. They want those young adults to take health care INSURANCE for granted. Has someone told these kids that their INSURANCE only is being paid for a few extra years.
But guess what, by their late 20s with a 20 something job and pay, apartment rent, car payments & insurance, utility bills etc health coverage will become a big ticket sticker shock purchase for them. Soon the number of uninsured adults at the cut off age for being on parents policy will increase-drastically.
