Obamacare push accelerates as government shutdown nears

Sep 30, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Reuters

The Obama administration accelerated its push to persuade individual Americans to sign up for the most extensive overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system in 50 years, even as the program's foes in Congress fought to delay its launch with the threat of a federal government shutdown.

Further questions?
Yes, indeed the hospitals have always just written it off against their taxes. LOL, bloody hell. The illegals health services were turned over to the federal gubmint and those bills were paid through tax dollars. But, now with this BS ACA, our insurance will pay for it, since that is the agreement this administration made with the insurance companies. Either way, we ARE STILL covering the illegals, just a different source of finances.

THE SOLUTION to the gubmint shutdown is for the Dems to eliminate the MANDATE attached to Odumbocare. Those who want it can sign up, those who don't shouldn't be forced to. The repubs would sign off on that. The fact is, the dems NEED ALL OF US in the Odumbocare debacle to fund their plans and the illegals non-funded healthcare.

No, sorry, the "solution" is for reTHUGlicans and 'baggers do DO THEIR DAMNED JOBS and stop holding the government hostage.

You LOST the battle on the ACA at the Congressional, Executive, and Judicial levels and you LOST the subsequent Presidential election.

Quit trying to destroy America to gain what you couldn't at the polling place. Or face arrest and incarceration for sedition and treasson.

They ARE doing their job WE elected them to do. Giving the conservatives a voice. You libturds aren't the only ones who should be heard, clown! The destroyers are the dems, creating more dependency than the tax paying working class can support. The 53% can only support the 47% for so long, and as good paying jobs continue to slip away due to dem/liberal policies, less tax revenue is generated. Get an education and quit expecting everyone else to support your life.

No worries if the site is down. Here is what you will see when it's up:
Government to 30 year old middle class workers and their families: "You are too rich for Medicaid, but can't afford health insurance. We have the answer! For only an extra $500 to $900.00 per month that you don't have, we'll provide you with a policy with a $12,700.00 family deductilble that you also don't have and can't come up with if you get really sick. There would be no role for the Insurance Company in the paying for unpaid care of immigrants.

Treating an undocumented immigrant who comes into an emergency room is an act of humanity.

The only solution as you would propose would be to reject undocumented immigrants who come into an emergency room seeking urgent care. That is inhumane and not a policy of a civilized society. You would expect such treatment from a barbaric and xenophobic nation.

America will never return to a back water ancient medieval society that fails to demonstrate humanity and respect for human life of all people independent of their status.

The system of government and policies you seem to want are those that resembles the Dark Ages in Europe.

That's about correct, but you omitted to factor in the Federal Subsidies or the option of the year end Tax Credit which both substantially decreases those premiums out of pocket.

Like most Republicans, the numbers confuse you and you forget to move the decimal point in the equation.

At the very least you get credit for understanding this is not a Free Insurance measure.

From $15,000 to $45,000 for a single individual who purchases insurance there is a subsidy or tax credit to help with that purchase, For a Family that subsidy or credit is available up to $94K

The median family income in America is approx $51,000, but this only applies to those who have employment or work for themselves and aren't carried by a third party plan or their own plans.

Dems tearing apart the Economy???????? Were you in a Coma and missed the last days and time of America under George Bush before collapsing the Economy and American Financial System? Or do you just act and ignore that period of American History 5 years ago as if it never happened.

Short Version:

That's an accurate assessment, considering, there has never been a serving Republican President who has administered over a budget with a shrinking budget deficit year over year. Obama inherited a record $1.4 Trillion 2009 Budget Deficit, Today 9 days into the 2014 FY Budget period, the 2013 Fiscal Year Budget Deficit is $650 Billion, Obama has reduced the Bush record deficit by more than half in 4 years.

There has never been a more responsible President in the history of America and, NEVER has a Republican achieved responsible reduction of spending.

Of the Current $17 Trillion in Debt, the Republicans since Reagan are responsible for more than $9 Trillion of that debt... or 53% of all the accumulated national debt since George Washington was President. All since the Ronald Reagan years.

You check the math by looking at the National Debt on Jan 20 of the outgoing Presidents term in the White House, and add in that year's Budget deficit for a accurate recording of his contributions to the National Debt. George W Bush inherited a $5.8 Trillion Debt from Clinton and a $200 Billion surplus. He left with a $10.6 Trillion Debt, with a $1.4 Trillion 2009 Deficit for a total $12 Trillion in Debt, an increase of $6.2 Trillion.

Reagan inherited a $800 Billion Debt, when he left the Debt was $2.9 for an increase of $2.1 Trillion.

H.W Bush saw a $2.1 Trillion Debt mushroom to $3.1 Trillion.

Combined those three Republicans are responsible for a minimum of $9.3 Trillion of the current $17 Trillion.

Conservative my Arse.......

That doesn't begin to explain the TARP and the Nationalizing of the American Financial Industry and the Automobile Industry.

Ridiculous assumptions. The GOP is most definitely being heard. The nation hears you hating the democratic process and everything American.

We've heard you during those campaigns threatening to shut down the Government during those 2010 campaigns.

We now hear you back pedaling from your actions when the consequences are being felt by the families of our Fallen Troops.

We hear the changing demands from the GOP from day to day on why the Government is shut down.

We heard the 47% that loss to Obama in Nov, 10 Months ago.

We now here the 67% of America that wants the Republicans sent back to their caves in the hills and into the swamps of the low country.

That's your version. In case you were in a coma Eric. The housing bubble was created by Frank and Dodd, two greedy Dems, who forced the housing industry to provide ARM's and interest only mortgages to people who couldn't afford them. The 30 somethings who were flipping houses and making more money than traditional investments. It was only a matter of time before that imploded, so thank your party of YES, YES, YES. Duh!

Typical, so you'll just ignore the "Unregulated" Index on Wall Street trading worthless securities, the Credit Default Swaps Index?

No, there was no Federal oversight and consumer protection as thieves in expensive suits were selling worthless securities full of junk mortgages that crashed America's and the World's Economy.

Catch up, the facts have been out only 3 years.......

The illegals will get their emergency care at the ER, like usual. Just like the uninsured teahadists that will be stuck going there because they won't sign-up for ACA out of spite. Don't forget to thank them for their conservative deceptionalism.

If you have a job and health care insurance now, then you don't have any expense as a result of the ACA.

If you can not determine that then the chances are you don't or isn't :

1. have a job, or health care insurance

2. not knowledgeable enough to have a worthwhile job that pays more than the qualifications to sign up for medicaid.

Nobody in the middle class with a job and insurance pays anything beyond the tax on using a tanning salon. Or, if you don't have insurance and option to pay the $95 penalty which is deducted from your tax returns.
