How the Heritage Foundation, a Conservative Think Tank, Promoted the Individual Mandate / 10/20/2011 / http://tinyurl.com/7yztznx

ROMNEY: Actually, Newt, we got the idea of an individual mandate from you.

GINGRICH: Thatís not true. You got it from the Heritage Foundation.

ROMNEY: Yes, we got it from you, and you got it from the Heritage Foundation and from you.

GINGRICH: Wait a second. What you just said is not true. You did not get that from me. You got it from the Heritage Foundation.

ROMNEY: And you never supported them?

GINGRICH: I agree with them, but Iím just saying, what you said to this audience just now plain wasnít true.

ROMNEY: OK. Let me ask, have you supported in the past an individual mandate?

GINGRICH: I absolutely did with the Heritage Foundation against Hillarycare.

ROMNEY: You did support an individual mandate?

ROMNEY: Oh, OK. Thatís what Iím saying. We got the idea from you and the Heritage Foundation.

GINGRICH: OK. A little broader.

ROMNEY: OK.

Sorry Spud your spuddering :-) After a very slow start of Romneycare in MA, 98 percent of the state is now insure with a 70% approval rating!
Yet instead of electing a man who has experience with healthcare and business who has created a workable public healthcare system based on a law that supporters read and understood before passing it we reelected Obama who is doing nothing to fix the law except trying to blame others for the problems. There are even fools out there blaming the Republicans for the failure.
By the way a 70% approval rating is poor. Any business with only a 70% customer satisfaction rating would be out of business.
Be carful what you ask for, you may get it.

It's funny how Obama and the rest of the Democratic leaders suddenly stopped calling it Obamacare. I guess even they are embarrassed by the law. I can't say that I blame them

A 70% approval rating for political purposes on a program is good. Try not to cherry pick from a business model.

Mc Donalds has a 73% approval rating and they're making record profits all the time. I guess that snuffs out your little 70% claim.

Anyways... had it been a 80-90% approval rating, you'd still find something to discredit the program because you hate Obama regardless of him doing good or bad.

Data collected by the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ASCI) reveals that McDonald's, despite being the top fast food company in revenue, ranks in last place in customer satisfaction.

The study, which looked at several limited-service restaurants, placed McDonald's at 73 percent satisfaction.

The dead link you provided proves nothing. Even if the link actually worked I have little faith in anything published in the Huffington Post. Their credibility is almost as low as MSNBC. I do see a lot of similarities in McDonalds and Obamacare so it is a good comparison. They are both marketing something that may satisfy the needs of the ignorant in the short term but in the long term they will regret having partaken of the crap they serve.
It would not surprise me that 70% of the people who eat at McDonalds are not satisfied yet they are stupid enough to keep going back.
You are right that I will always try to find something to criticize in any government program. Especially one that taxes the middle class like Obamacare while benefitting the wealthiest 1%. I criticized the approval rating of Romneycare and you claim that I hate Obama. That is a very big leap but quite typical of how you like to turn around and twist what those who do not agree with your king. It is spOko who is the Romney supporter not me. He is the one who bragged about the 73% approval rating.
I did question why if people were so concerned with a successful roll out of the new healthcare tax we would elect a president who has no experience in business, government or healthcare to roll out a major piece of healthcare legislation while rejecting a candidate who has experiance in all three areas. The problem we have now is that rather than fixing the mess those who created it are busy trying to blame others for what they have done.

I hear it's such a disaster they're considering changing its name to Bushcare or Republicare. It's just a matter of time before they can iron out the talking points.

So sorry your close to brain dead, the only difference is in size and scope but more importantly Romney had the support of the democrats as well as the Heritage Foundation. In stark contrast to venomous Republicans doing everything to block Obama short of blowing up the White House!

It is a deliberate escape from accountability and deception and that is all.
Dishonesty in the highest degree. Under Obama that was to be expected by those not blind to it.

Yeah, but did he really think that was deception? I don't know what kind of imbecile would fall for his jive. Well, I guess there are a few on here but I'm trying to be nice and not single anyone out.

We don't have time to dilly-dally around. When you consider what these a**holes have brought down on us, they deserve the worst. It's not like they weren't warned.
