California: Insurers must cover elective abortions

Well, of they do, it would be rather illogical from the financial viewpoint.

Employers look at things from a cost perspective. Many abortions are for medical issues, that should the child be brought to term, would have a significantly higher cost to the insurers and eventually premiums go up.

If it is strictly a moral point of view, fine as long as a woman is forced to bring a very sick baby to term, the employer should also be compelled to pay for any and all insurance upgrades and deal with the loss of employee time at work in a fair manner, other than terminating employment.

The employer cannot have it both ways if they are trying to impose their religious will on others.

First the company does not pay for the abortion or for the child
They pay for the coverage

Second it is not about the money......
It is about killing a baby and even if it cost ten times or a thousand times more that is not important.

Third Very few are talking about a medical issue for the baby or the mother........they are talking about healthy babies.....

Fourth they will not be paying for any coverage
They will drop all coverage
So more people will lose coverage....
