.... Isn't it currently SUMMER? Most teachers wouldn't have papers to grade this time of year since, you know, no students are at school to write papers or grade. Are you simply that ignorant of how basic education works? Or maybe you have magical psychic powers to supernaturally stalk and document how another person spends their time throughout a year? Both possibilities are amazing to me. Sure, there's the chance that your comment is merely wild speculation or deflection to attempt saving face in front of the anonymous masses of the Internet, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are merely ignorant or magical.

Well said, That is right, well said indeed. I only WISH that all employers went as far to protect their employees as the Onieda schools have. Regardless of whether it is a perfect solution, it is still far better than the alternatives which I have seen played out in other counties. I believe that Onieda should be praised for its efforts to protect teachers in the face of the poor economy and new changes to the health care system.

I agree SOMEWHAT with "Wink". At least they left them at the CURRENT rate of pay and didn't LOWER their pay to what it would ACTUALLY BE for working 29 hours. I commend them for that. That money alone should help them be able to afford health insurance in a health insurance exchange.

No, I just don't change my name. I am not a teacher and have nothing to do with schools. I don't write on a lot of topix, and I never down someone by name. I communism to believe everyone should have the same pay and the same benefits. That being the case no one would go to any school anyway. Now that would definitely flood the nonprofessional workforce. Some people on topix take things too personal, others (like me) are too blunt. I would really like for everyone to get a raise, but then the people on fixed income would suffer. My mother was a teacher. I know the hardships we endured for her just to get a teaching degree. I also know the money she put in the job. I am on topix too much and I believe a lot of lowlife, both educated and non-educated are on it. For this reason, I bid you all good bye.

I have seen some kids that their parents should be FINED for the people that they have created for teachers to have to try and teach. They are rude, obnoxious, and have no respect for authority. And just for the record I am in no way associated to the school, just a parent who sees these kids in town and wonder what parent was to busy with their own life that they could not help mold their children to be upstanding people and citizens. Why do you want to punish teachers for the reults of poor parenting?
