As O'Brien say in Orwell's 1984, the governing party is interested solely in power. Government command over health care is essential to giving government control over its citizens, thus making all Americans wards of the state.

Anyone who shares the sentiments expressed by Nicole and Charlene Hopkins would find my article "Just Say No!" in The Voluntaryist Issue 111, of great interest. Although there are few who recognize it, saying "No" to Social Security is just as important as rejecting ObamaCare. Both government programs enslave and demean us because they depend on coercion and taxation to exist.
