Chronic pain patients suck!

Many, I dare say most, chronic pain patients suck. Ungrateful and immature. On the wrong meds and receiving the wrong treatment modalities. The struggle with them is frustrating and often not productive. I despise them. I do a lot of good for a lot of people. Behaving like a child is not appropriate in a health care office. They are a waste of time.

With all do respect, what do you expect when pharm companies legally create one of the most addicting substances in the world and then give people access to them for extended periods of time and let you then say okay your cut off? With very little effort from pharm companies making the opioids could easily remove the euphoric effect of thebaine from these substances and still have the pain suppressing nature. But that might take money from there pocket.

Another irony is that studies show that docs and nurses are 76% more likly to be dependent.... Pot calling the kettle black isn't it?

I was a rn and got severely injured, became dependent and had to change professions because I couldn't push IV drugs without being reminded of the feeling. Things should change in the med field in my opinion. But hey I'm probebly one of those annoying cpp right?

The most frustrating thing about cpp is that when they have a surgical procedure, you can't ever get their post op pain under control because their tolerance to drugs is so high. Nothing you give works for their pain. I actually had a cpp tell me he had better drugs at home than I was giving him.ive been a nurse for 26 years and I've never seen so many cpps before. No one can cope with pain. They reach for a pill, the easy fix. What happened to grin and bear it?
