Hello everyone,

my name is Kat and I have a question.

I never had any headaches until January 2006, thats when I had an accident and had a hairline skull fracture behind my left ear. I saw a neurosurgeon and he said the fracture was so tiny that it would heal on its own.
Well everything was ok until about a year ago. I started getting headaches, the frequency would increase from once a month to once or twice a week. For the past 3 months I am having headaches 24/7. The pain is located behind my left ear where I had my skull fracture. Every now and then it feels as if my ear is wet. I went and saw a my primary care doctor. She examined my ear and she said she thought she saw clear fluids in my ear so she sent me to a neurologist for a possible CSF leak. The neurologist never examined me, said I might have a hole in my ear drum and send me to ENT. I went to ENT and he said I don't have a hole in my ear drum. I have not been back to the neurologist yet. For the past 2 weeks I am feeling miserable. I am very nauseated, dizzy, both my hands and my face are tingling. Whenever I stand up or walk my head feels like "jello"..kinda wabbely.I don't know how to explain it. This sensation goes away as soon as I lay down. In fact, I feel fine when I lay down. I have a nystagmus in my left eye. My doc put me on topamax about 3 weeks ago to see if it would break down some of the pain but its not working. I don't know what to do anymore. All I know is this situation is getting worse. Has anyone experienced something like this?

Thanks for all the answers!

Kat
