I agree, I mean you canít expect cats and dogs to have minty fresh breath, but really breath shouldnít just be ignored. Have you had your cats checked out at the vet? They may have your cat have a thorough dental cleaning which requires anesthesia. The cat could have periodontal disease, itís the number one disease in dogs and cats. The thorough cleaning at the vetís would be a good start. I know some groomers also do non-anesthetic dental cleanings, but they arenít as thorough.
The vet will probably suggest toothpaste and regular manual brushings after the initial cleaning. You can also try an oral solution and put it directly on your petís gums. If your cat is too squeamish, there is an oral solution to help breath that you put in his or her water. You can read more about it here: http://www.therabreath.com/art_dogs.asp . I started using it on my dog a few months ago, I just put two capfuls a day in his water and it has worked so well! People have even commented that his breath is much better.
I hope this helps!

Hi Michelle, TheraBreath products were actually made by a dentist. It's over the counter so you shouldn't have to consult a doctor or dentist to use them. Good luck!

Animals lick their privates, no wonder their breath reeks. So why do people have bad breath?

Hi guys! Me too have been suffering from bb. I had braces before and thought it was just actually coming from there. Had it removed and still bb is there. Have a good oral hygiebe. Brush my teeth 3 times a day.,floss, scrape tongue etc. But it doesnt work! I decided to try chlorophyll tabs but it didnt work. I went to ent i was scheduled for tonsillectomy but was cancelled. I also went to gastroenterologist and she prescribed me with ppi. Guesswhat my bb got worst after taking the meds! I wanna die now! I was so stupid taking all those meds now i can fillup a wholeroom. I just have a slight prob with my breath before that had gone worst because of ppi. I dont get much of reaction from other people before.. helllppppppppp..

I don't recommend licking your privates as a breath freshener.
