my 15 year old sister has had a problem with getting swollen glands all of her life, and had her tonsils taken out 2 years ago, and if anything, that made the situation worse. she still gets swollen glands several times a year, and it is always cleared up in a few days with antibiotics. She recently went to an endocrinologist to discuss why this keeps happening, and she started throwing out words like Leukemia and Lymphoma. she is having a CT scan soon. Are there any other causes for habitual swollen glands that aren't cancer?

Problem with throat.
There always feels like there is something in my throat. When I run ill make it about half a mile to a mile depending on the pace. At that time will start gagging/coughing/choking. The cough is like a really harsh cough. I canít run through it. Itís also very hard to breath during this.
Sometimes I can just touch that spot on my throat to trigger whatever this is. Itís not only when Iím running. Itís also during sit-ups, or while trying to touch my toes, doing flutter kicks, etc.
Itís not always a physical thing either. Just having something rubbing my neck makes me want to start gagging. Itís always worse in the mornings I think. Me being in the military have days where we ruck march (or walk really far for you civilian types). In the morning I have to go take my ruck sack out to my truck. When I pick up my ruck sack I can make about 5 feet before I start gagging. Ill rest for a minute and carry it the rest of the way, some days it will require another rest.
So itís not just a physical thing as in running or working out. Itís also like just have too much of a strain on the body can trigger whatever this is.

I have been to an ENT (Ear, Noise, and Throat) doctor. He took a camera and looked down my throat and said he saw nothing bad other than a little redness. The he stood behind the chair I was sitting in an started to massage my throat and I starting doing the gagging/coughing/choking thing almost inmedently. After that he sent me to Gastro, They did an upper GI and said it was normal. The ENT doctor also suggested speech therapy. So that is my next step I guess. Can anyone help me or knows what this is? Iíve had it this for long while now and I canít get anywhere in my military career with this.

There's only one way that is easy and 100% will cure your sore throat fast, using regular salt. Take a salt shaker and shake it 2 to 4 times straight to your throat every 2 hours. Very important to do it before your bedtime and throughout the night if you wake up. I've tried this, it's like a miracle. I found this here they have a video how to do.

Salt is a powerful medicine for sore throat. If you donít like to use salt directly, you can put some salt in a cup of warm water then gargle it. The best time to do that is before the bedtime and in the early morning. However, you can do as many times as you want to kill viruses. For more detail information you can check to get it.

Hi, I've had Tonsillitis since saturday (4/11/2009) and i went to my doctor on monday. He gave me an antibiotic to take for 10 days, and i have been taking it third day is almost complete and my throat feels worse than ever. I feel like it has spread from my left tonsil to the right. The pain was only on the left side of my throat and my left ear at first but now its also in the back of my mouth/tongue and on the right side of my throat. Is this normal? or should I see a doctor again.
