One must be careful when describing gout “causes”. Many people think that the food they eat or the alcohols they drink are the "cause" of their gout. This in fact is not true. While there are only a couple of true known causes for gout, there are a myriad of triggers that can instigate an attack or flare up.

The major cause are:

· The body is producing too much uric acid during the metabolism of purine
· The body is unable to eliminate uric acid effectively
· The purine intake is too high due to a purine rich diet
· Genetic defect in metabolism, which causes overproduction and retention of uric acid

About four years ago my wife said I was grumpy! Ha! So I started taking barocca the orange drink. I didnt realize the side effects or link.
I became much more active and was great these tablets were amazing four hours sleep a night things I had time to do but?
I had sever joint pain in my elbows and then in my big toe had symtoms for eighteen months until I could not walk and went to see my doc. Gout was his answer. I started eating drinking cherys.
He gave me some anti swelling pills and after three weeks I began to recover and have been careful ever since, when I feel the twing start to worry and alter my diet and have been ok for two years until now.
Had fallen back into old ways, lager takeaways red wine but had been monitoring gout symptoms and not much sign. Wife started commenting that I was a bit grumpy again about two weeks ago so started taking the barocca that was left in the back of cupboard.
It's back! Pains in elbows and tingling in my feet. This must be conclusive that barocca causes gout. I shall stop tanking them and will update you in about a week. It's 3am now and Iam still awake barocca is working!

Forget, purine rich foods, forget meat, forget fish, forget alcohol, being the cause of your gout. The real culprit as I
found out after years of testing is FRUCTOSE.Try and reduce or eliminate that and your gout problems will be over.
You will be grateful to me for giving you this information.your doctors might disagree but what do you have to lose,
trying it for a couple of weeks. For me it worked wonders, after suffering from gout for more than 10 years.
