How I Cure or Prevent Gout

I found a cure for gout that works for me. I'm not involved in the medical profession, but after over 3/4 of century I have got to know my body and what works for me.
My wife and I have both suffered from hearburn for short periods over the years and we both have used various medicines to combat it.
I came to the conclusion that my gout is actually an histaminic rection to uric action similar to the reaction caused by hydrochloric acid in the esophagus. Histaminic reaction may be old news for the medical profession, but they have never explained it to me that way. Cimetidine works on my hydrocholoric acid every time.
Since Tagamet, once prescribed for me, worked to neutralize hydrochloric acid in my stomach and prevent heartburn, I asked myself why the same medication the doctor used to cure my heartburn would not work for gout. So I decided to experiment with a medication used for heartburn: cimetidine.
Walgreen, and I suppose most other drug store-labeled generic brands of cimetidine can be bought for a few dollars among the antacids.
I have for a very long time used pure black cherry juice (Just Black Cherry brand) as a way of neutralizing uric acid in my body. A health food store clerk said it should never be diluted or sweetened before using.
Using black cherry juice and cimetidine, I have fought off gout before it began to swell my feet (usually around the big toe of my right foot) several times. These two medications together have been amazingly effective, but I suspect that cimetidine will work alone for me.
A doctor once tried for nearly two months to cure a bad attack of gout in my right foot, and when I started using cimetidine in addition to the black cherry juice, the results seemed almost miraculous. Within 3 days it completely cleared up by my taking only 200 mg twice daily. It has worked for me several times for about three years and I now feel sure enough about the cimetidine alone, or with black cherry juice, that I am willing to share this self-cure with others.

Wow, you done a lot of research there and congrats for beating gout. A member of my family had gout and they struggled to the the little things in life we take for granted. Eventually, she found this ebook which gave her recipies to reduce her intake of uric acid - she even lost a few pounds too!
All the best,

I had a similar thought, but did not follow through. I was thinking of taking calcium to counter act the acid, but the calcium on hand was calcium citrate which I assume means it has acidic properties. So I thought of tums. But your strategy seems to be to stop the acid production in the first place - isn't that what cimetidine does?
