I am suffering with my first outbreak of herpes which are in the anal and perianal area. I have reseached the internet and find lots of info but not much in my area. Not only is urnitating painful but I want to cry whin i feel a bowel movement coming on because they hurt and bleed. It is also painful to even lightly run my hand over the muscles in my thighs. Does anyone else have my same problem? Please send me your advice.

Go to your doctor and get some valtrex. It really works and has little side effects. It will get better over time as your immune system learns to fight it. The outbreaks won';t be as bad. Hey Sore Booty, I definitely know how you feel, I just found out I contracted herpes a week ago from the guy I have been dating. I knew he had herpes but we thought it was only cold-sores. Man do I feel nieve now, but I have been taking Valtrex to suppress it and a numbing cream with lidocaine which helps. If anyone knows of anything better to help with bowel movements? I have been holding it for four days because it is the worst physical pain I have ever experienced and I have a tattoo sleeve on my arm that can not even compare! haha but seriously our sore booties need help.

I also contracted herpes from my partner and it is the worst physical pain I have ever had to endure in my life. I cry every time I have a bowel movement and the pain is so bad I always feel like I am going to pass out. Does anyone know how long this will last? I have been on Valtrex for over 10 days and this is the only spot that has not cleared up or gotten better.

My first outbreak lasted two weeks and as you read from my orginal post it was terrible. I just had my second outbreak and thankfully it was not that bad. I had very few sores and they didnt hurt and burn near as bad as the first ones did. They were also gone in a week. Take tons of L-lystein asap. I would take 5 or 6 500miligrams 3 or 4 times a day. Also lots of ibuprofin for pain helps alot.

i JUST FOUND OUT i contracted herpes from my husband of 3 years, the doctor said I got it from him giving me oral and even though he had not one sore in his mouth, because he had mouth sores in the past he is harboring it there. She said it is the most common way because most peopple do not know that you can get herpes 2 from herpes 1. I recently found out I had herpes in my anus and around it. I think I had it for a while because I remember noticing itching down there and raised bumps. I'd feel them when I showered, but I always thought it was a rash. Sometimes after anal sex where I was the receiving partner I would feel some pain for a little down there a few days after the encounter when going to the bathroom, etc. The encounter I had a week ago must have been enought trauma to really make the virus hit hard. I have never in my life experienced this type of pain. It is EXCRUCIATING. I feel like I'm in the Hostel torture movie! It's like someone putting a blow torch up there, turning it on, and also crapping out broken glass at the same time. If I had to live with this every day, I would honestly choose death, no doubt! When I feel an outbreak coming on.. I take Valtrek.. I keep the area clean by cleaning it with alcohol and I keep a cotton swab on it to keep it dry ( I know all about the burn) the cotton swab helps keep you dry when you urinate :) Hope this helps a little bit :)

Turns out i just contracted anal herpes. I think my life's over. Pain during bm is the worst pain ever. I hav to hold poop for hours. And incontinence anyone? I had 2.. And a lot of almost-incontinent episodes!!! Sometimes it hurts so bad i can barely pee even tho i only have h in and around the anus.. Pain relievers really dnt help, maybe wen i hav the fever with headache n body aches.. Like wen i smoke ciggys? I hav the biggest urges to poop.. But i hav to suck it in.. I guess we just hav to wait til the outbreak is over.. Stay on a liquid diet, soups for the entire course, no carbd n protien, soft mechanical food, and we should be fine.. Will i hav anal sex again? Maybe not.. Pain during outbreak is worse than the 12 incher that broke me in wen i was 16... Ugh..

FINALLY, I have found a site where people have been able to put into words the pain that my recent outbreak caused. I have always thought myself to have a high threshold for pain, but this nearly did me in. For days, the only way I could find moderate relief was to sit in a very warm bath. Handfuls of codeine wouldn't even take away the pain!

So glad to find this forum... it's somehow comforting to know that there are other backsides out there that can relate!
