I recently finished chemotherapy. I have interstitial cystitis, and had medication instilled into my bladder. The tech used hemostats to clamp off the catheter, and tucked it under me. The medication stayed in me for 20 minutes. 2 days later I had blisters in the same area that went away after a few days. That was 2 or weeks ago. 2 days ago I had a new cluster show up on my butt, close to my lower back. I went to the dermatologist who says I have genital herpes. Did I get it from the hemostats or from my husband? How long can you have it before you have an outbreak? Because of chemotherapy and recent surgery, I have not had sex in a long time. Also, I've been faithful to my husband for over 20 years. I have to tell him today. Please help.
