My mother is suffering from carcinoma of gallbladder. she is 53 .it was detected on 1st of july 2011. then we went to INHS Asvini Hospital Mumbai. the GI surgeon there attemted an explorative surgery on 19/7/11, but they failed. they took out a tissue for biopsy and kept it closed, the biopsy report says Metastatic adenocarcinoma.then from the third day of surgey i.e. from 22/7/11 she has not being able to take any food. though she took some solid food on the initial days but now she is not being able to take even liquid food except a little water at a time. anything she takes it is vomitted out.if she takes 2 spoons of liquid, she vomits min half litre to 1 litre of water which is brown in colour. however we have started XELODA 500 tab 2500 daily in a divided dose of 1500 and 1000 mg. now she is completely on saline. now i want to know that will Xeloda can give her any relief or will she be able to take food normally. if anybody can give me any advice in this matter?
