Taco tour - Features

WHEN Compadres Bar and Grill closed in September, I heard a lot of people lament the demise of their favorite Tuesday night hangout.

tikis at the resort quest in waikiki has a taco tuesday with free beer and great band....freesound!!!! and begins at 5 pm. so in these tough times why you not mention them, eh?

Most of the chain places listed don't understand the real Mexican food idea. Nice for kinda mexican but hey....better to pay the price and buy more authentic!!

Try Toritos off Kapiolani/Kapahulu. Great service too!

Caliente Del Sol does some kick food too....and spotless!

I think I got accustomed to semi-Mexican food. Mmmmm. Just like I love Pizza Hut pizzas and not authentica Italian pizza (and spaghetti, for that matter). I have Americanized taste buds.

None of that crap that was mentioned is a real taco. Al Pastor, lengua, cabeza, how hard is it?

I guess I wouldn't be annoyed if they didn't call it Mexican or tacos. Or if it tasted good. But it doesn't.
