"... Mark Driscoll, pastor of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, says it is OK to have friendships with people of other faiths, but this type of involvement in each other’s worship practices is problematic, mainly because Christians and Muslim fast for different reasons and do not worship the same God. He called Christians observing a Ramadan fast ...

'insane at best ... Sad, tragic, horrific, misguided, dangerous, wrong. If Christians want to pray during Ramadan, they should pray not with Muslims but for Muslims — that Muslims would come to know Jesus. To pray with Muslims absolutely dishonors Jesus.'"

First, Islamic fasting is not fasting at all.
Getup early morning, eat all rich foods upto your throat, and start fasting till evening and once again start stuffing all rich meats, humus, and what not. i have seen this in the Middle east. They will be waiting for the evening to gobgle the foods like hungry camels.

Those are NOT Christians if they are celebrating along side a PAGAN HOLIDAY which ramadan is.
Jesus did NOT say celebrate with them he would want us to pray for them that they find the TRUTH.

Hews and Muslims think that they worship G-d of Moses and Christians worship a person who claims to be G-d.

This person is a confused Native who is struggling to "join our club" being an outsider.
Christian festivals are clearly Pagan against G-d.
Christmas and Easter are totally Pagan.
All know it except this Native Indian servant of Lone Ranger who thinks lone ranger is god.

Try it! See if you can go without your liquid (and food) for 16 hours as they do in London.
These people are decent folks and we meet them quite often during their functions.

Remind me why I was involved in a large London organisation that had to guard Synogogues from militant Muslims several years ago?

This is a very relevant comment from the article,

“The logic of Islam is obedience and submission. It’s by following these practices that a Muslim demonstrates his obedience to the rule of the law through the Quran. For a Christian to do the same automatically implies a submission to the same rule. And beyond that, it’s an explicit affirmation that this is a good and holy thing. From a New Testament perspective, it is not a good and holy thing.”

Non Muslims take note.

Few Christians may be tolerant but
It’s better not to fast with us. personally I would not like you to celebrate with us nor I want any Christian or Hindu to tell me Eid Mubarak or Ramadan Kareem, because in return I don't want to tell them Merry Christmas or whatever because we don’t worship the same God and your rituals and festivals are all pagan

There is nothing special about people who go to work all day without food
but the special thing about Muslim fasting that you unbelievers can't see is that through fasting, Allah tests our obedience, and we get our sins forgiven

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from God will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from God will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from God will have his past sins forgiven (Bukhari, Muslim).

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: God the Majestic and Exalted said: "Every deed of man will receive ten to 700 times reward, except Siyam (fasting), for it is for Me and I shall reward it (as I like). There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: one when he breaks the fast and the other when he will meet his Lord" (Muslim).

Laughable, considering the amount of money spent visiting a Meteorite in Mecca by muslims.
And the amount of religious fervour the mecca meteorite attracts.

If you fasted for 3 days, or a week or ten days, I could be more impressed, but fasting to have your sins forgiven? Fat chance.

Another thing, there is no place in the Qu'ran that speaks of allah having any sort of LOVE for his subjects, much less any sort of relationship with them.

I'd rather practice a tolerant, peace loving 'Pagan' religion than a murdering, paedophile following, slave trading (and so on, ad infinitum) religion.

[QUOTE who="Sarah ___" I don't want to tell them Merry Christmas or whatever because we don’t worship the same God and your rituals and festivals are all pagan
[/QUOTE]
First, look who is talking! Your Ramzan and your fasting rituals are all copied by your Mohamed from the idol worshipping pagan Arabs.Ramadan was a holiday celebrated before muhammad was conceived. Pagan Arabs did the Ramadan do. Why are Muslims doing Ramadam when it belonged to Arab tribe who did it prior to Islam. Muhammad copied what he like from all religions to get them to follow him and Jews and Christians didnt so he had their names mentioned 33000 times in the Qur'an and hadiths for laughing at his evil behind and not making him their PROPHET. Jews had lots of f prophets and Jesus was the last Messiah/prophet they would ever need. Muhammad never performed one miracle unless it was having sex with a little girl of 9. Ramadan is not an Islamic holiday, but one stolen from the Arabic tribes.Islam is a copy book some from jews, some from Chrstians, some from pagan Arabs, some from Zoroatrian. It is 'Mumbo jumbo' religion.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Aquarius

The more you want to control someone, or someone wants to control you, the more difficult life will be today. It's a Full Moon and a lunar eclipse, so the last thing you should do now is to act as though you own this person, or tell them what to do, because it will be an instant recipe for rebellion and trouble. Mars is retro in your house of significant others and open enemies after all. If you don't want to spoil the evening's celebrations you'll have to make compromises, and hope that this other person will do the same. Don't let the fuss stop you having a very happy New Year's Eve.
