Did you say "pangs of hunger'? You stuff your tummy with rich foods till early morning and it takes at least eight solid hours to get digested the foods consumed. Again,after 6 in the evening,another round of rich food specially prepared for the 'starving' faithfulls! I worked in the middleEast and thespread of eats during Ramadan!-Just have a look at this pictures:

After all the rich food at night it is A&E time at daybreak. Diabetes and Ramadan do not go together.
