Hello everyone,
This is the first time I've written on an internet forum about my erectile dysfunction. I'am 21 years old, currently in a relationship of six months. We took it slow until three months into the relationship where we attempted to have sex, however I could not provide a stiff erection to even enter. I had talked to my doctor and he gave me a shot of testorene bi-weekly for up to 5 shots. At about 5 months into the relationship I was able to perform sex (as well as my virginity). However it only lasted about 5 minutes until my erection came down during the intercourse. It was like that for 2 weeks until once again my erection is not stiff again to perform intercourse. I have had a total of 5 testorene shots, I've done a blood test just yesterday to do show the results so far to my doctor. I will get an answer from him on thursday about what to do next for my dysfunction. At first I felt like it was improving but now Im back at my oringal problem. What should I do? I feel my doctor does not have a cure. Is there someone more specialized? Please help me. Thank you.

Yes mate you can go to a uroligist
Ask your doctor to book you and appointment with one.

It sounds like your doctor thinks you have hypogonadism (low testosterone). You'll have a lot of more information after your next blood work test. You want to find out what your testosterone level is, how it compares to where you were before treatment, and what the normal range is for someone your age.

But even if you did have low testosterone, and it's being treated effectively, you can still have ED from other causes. Your doctor will probably try other medications or do other tests.

Finally, you might ask your doctor about transdermal medication for your testosterone problem. They're alot more convenient for many people.

Good luck.

Hey guys, I need some help and or answers. My boyfriend is 21 and a virgin, he can't seem to keep an erection and we have tried having sex on several occasions and each time we have had the same problem. I don't know what to do. I ask if he is just nervous and he says no, in fact he seems puzzled himself on why. I had maybe thought that it was ED, but, I'm just not sure. Any suggestions?

To Jon99. I hope you have come to some kind of long term resolution by now. I am only 26 and have ED. I know how frustrating (to say the least) it can be with this problem. I started with the shots as well, and had some success, but it was hit and miss, and my mood swings were ridiculous. I then tried androgel 1% everyday, but it didn't seem to work, so I went back to the shots. Now, I'm using Testim 1% (another gel), and it seems to work fairly well. If you have any other questions or concerns post back...

ED can be a sign of diabetes type 2. I have a suspicion that I have ED too and hope it isn't diabetes. I am mustering the courage to go to the doctor soon.

@ Danny- I'd be interested to know what your subversive comment meant!

@ Conor - Thats the type of vile and cowardly stuff that the secret societies do. They will even do this to your kids. The first time they did it to me was when I was about 13 y/o. They won't even let them finish puberty. Warn your kids NEVER to smell or inhale anything. This stuff is controled by organized crime. Its in our schools and churches. Its a comforting thought, knowing that the mob is playing "hardball" with our kids! If people knew what I know, they would homeschool their kids.

Hey guys, I'm with you on this one. It's all messed up. I know what it's like - i've lost two good relationships with great girls because of my ED.

-- Danny -- shut the hell up man, you sound like a raving lunatic and your logic and opinions are baseless. If you actually "know" stuff, then let it out.

But I'm going to get my blood tested asap. This sucks! I am wasting my life away on dysfunctionality! I don't have any suggestions other than to find a really loving person, but even then, they will probably leave you because they get fed up.

Honestly, im in the same boat, im 19 and having all these troubles. with all my ex girlfriends, im ether able to get an errect but its not hard enough to eaily penetrate. also when i watch porn i can get hard but not like intensely hard. Ive been doing some research and i think the main problem is masterbation at a young age more once or more a day because apparently you use up your libeto but it could be anything. im going to finally go talk to a doctor about this problem tomorrow. hopefully its fixable without using Viagra or anyhting like that, but ill let you guys know.

This is exactly right, same problem and all anyone says is go to a doctor. what we need to know is what the doctor is likely to say. So far no medical opinion i have found says over masterbation is the problem, however there are a suspicious amount of people with ed that watch too much porn and/or masterbate too much. Another reason is psychological but surely you get the physical problem before you start to worry. also i know mine isn psychological as my gf is very supportive. Its torture for me cos my sex drive is so high but its like im shootin pool with a rope. Their needs to be proper advice available, its obvious that you can go to the doctor. 21, bloody sexual prime for most people, im sittin here with burstin balls cos im goin cold turkey on masterbation and porn, and after a month of this I still cant have sex.

Specifically I need to know, are there drugs that reverse it? i know the usual stuff about viagra, that it works to get rid of it psychologically for a while sometimes. Do you have to use it for the rest of your life if it only works temporarily? I know that surgical procedures have a low success rate. I know that u can get the equivelent of a crutch for ur penis implanted, which is useless as nobody want to do a floppy. Also why are there so many people who are losing there erections at such a young age and why is this not covered in edu-fecking-cation. Came as a devastating surprise to me, suddenly i cant have sex like a normal person, bit of a kick in the teeth. I'm 21 and at uni, was so lookin forward to the casual sex scene, but 'ooo come back to my place, we may or may not be able to have sex isnt so appealing.'

The only thing i need is someone who has been through this to tell me if either a success story or a failure story, or a doctor to tell me a possible solution. If i find out i cant have sex again like a normal person thats fine, at least il be able to come to terms with it. If there's is a solution, wicked. But not knowing is torture, especially when i have to wait for my docs appointment who i know will prob refer me on to someone else so i wont know till uni bloody finishes. Sorry for the anger, anyone who has this knows its frustrating, especially at bloody 21 and in love with good sex(in the least perviest way possible.

Person, you were freaking hilarious your comment has me laughing my ass off. "oooo come back to my place, we may or may not be able to have sex" hahahahaa!

I am in a similar situation, and let me say, its obviously not fun. i have no health insurance and want to see a urologist but I don't want to spend a fortune on appointments or tests. I was hoping not to have to take the viagra or cialis, but I am more so wondering why my sex drive is so low (20 yrs old) and why i don't get erections often...

yo, im 22 and kinda startin to have the same prob. and i almost think that aknowledging it is the least helpful thing. I truly know it's all in my head- its the anxiety of doin good in bed that's all. If im satying at my girls parents house and i know we cant have sex ill easily get a ragin boner when were alone for a second!!! Ironic huh? Well pretty much the only thing i think i can do now is to care a little less, be a little selfish you know.. lol, but sex should be fun and feel good.. if you lay back and relax the rest should just cum easy right? ok ok, no jokes- it does suck.. what can a phychologist tell me that i can't figure out on my own???

Your uncomfortable with the idea of your girls parents hearing you, this has led you into a cycle of uncertainty, and now you may be worried its a cronic problem. It shouldn't be, but you might want to tell your partner about your trouble with her parents house, maybe try a new location, even a hotel perhaps?

Yeap, me too I have this problem, I am 21, just loosed my virginty, at first it didnt went up, and I realized that I was having like a superanxiety attack, more mentally than physically, until I was relaxed enough it went up and lost my virginty, it was very cool, so bad I came after a minute, one problem goes another one comes...

I would say that in my personal experience watchin too many porn with masturbation, is not healthy at all, at all. I have a good theory about this, I dont know how to put it all togheter. I will post it when I have it all clear.

Hey guys, I'm going through a very depressing time right now. I've been a Type 1 diabetic since I was 11 and I'm now 20. As of January 2009, I began experiencing a wierd flush feeling inside my lower abdomen and my sex drive and erections (including impulses) went out the window. I talked with a family doctor on it and it assumed diagnosis on Prostate and prescribed me pills which I took and achieved erection again for a few weeks. About 5 days ago, my erections (including impluses) have totally gone and has left me feeling so dead down there, as you know, we men are use to our impulses and sexual feelings. I'm completely distressed. Worst thing about this is the fear of it being permanent as I've had high blood sugars and may have damaged nerves and blood vessels.

Hey guys! My boyfriend and I have been together for six months and we don't know what is wrong. I have four children and he has one so we both pretty much know what we are doing. The problem is that during oral sex he has one of the hardest erections but as soon as he enters it is gone. He is now taking viagara that he ordered off the internet but that doesn't seem to be working either. Could it be me that is causing him to lose it? Help us please he is only 28 and I am 32. We care about each other very much and don't want this to be the cause of our breaking up.

In a weird way it's reassuring to hear these stroeis but I know it's an awful condition. I'm hoping some of you might be able to talk to me about me and my boyfriend. He's 26 year old. He seems to be very into me, flying long distances to see me, saying he finds me very attractive. I don't doubt him. But he can't maintain his erection. I am experienced sexually (maybe this is a factor?) and have never come across this before. I am also 10 years older than my man, and can't help feel it's me that is causing all this. He persists in trying to enter me when he's semi hard which doesn't work and makes me feel so sorry for him. When I last went down on him the erection he had disappeared (is I'm honest I was really upset by that). I am caring and I think sensitive but I just don't know what to do and I am really upset for him.

Try some of the natural pills. Look for pills with some of the plants they have used in China for thousands of years. Check the other forums for idea.
