I have been getting this visual problems...What I see during these episodes is like what you see on a tv when transmission is cut...Everything turns grey, and I see nothing but this grey expanse...I can't control them, and I can't reproduce them for the doctors...I always thought it was something wrong with my eyes, but the opthalmologist said my eyes are fine. CT scan shows nothing wrong with my brain...
And yet, they keep happening... Am now on medication for high bp, and when I chnage positions (like gettign up from seated position etc), I get light headed, and everythign turns grey. These episodes are just like the the first described 'attacks' but with the added lightheadedness and giddyness... I have been told that there are some forms of epilepsy which are not 'full', and only partial... Is it possible I have them? Please help. Thanks a million... |

If you're suffering from hypertension & are on medication for it then perhaps that could be the problem? You may want to talk with your physician about doing an EEG to measure electrical activity in the brain as a CT/MRI can only provide a visual image of the anatomical structure of the brain....it sounds to me like you're not getting an adequate blood supply to the brain thus causing the bouts of lightheadedness & the "grey outs" to your vision. I've been on anticonvulsant medication for over 13 years now but even before being diagnosed & placed on the meds I don't recall ever having visual problems such as the one you've described. I hope this advice helps you & wish you the best of luck on your diagnosis & treatment,it's no fun at all living with the disorder what with all the testing DR.'s appointments for medication refills & some of the restrictions posed by being on meds<not being allowed to drink alcoholic beverages certainly stinks> but it's only a small price to pay in return for as normal a life as possible. |

Question: Is it to where you get kind dizzy, almost to like you're out of your body and it feels stressful yet relaxing, and your vision goes grey up to a point like looking at a bottom of a cone without the bottom end and from the base to the point it goes grey and then goes back after a while, depending on how strong?
I am sorry to ask and it not making complete and total sense, but I'm just trying to ..I dunno figure it out? Yeah... |
