I myself am aware of the concerns that center around relationships that comes with the condition of Epilepsy. Marrige is not excluded. No matter what you know that there is a responcibility of one in the relationship that has to deal with this also.
My question is: Which is better? To be with someone who shares the same condition as a mate, or to be with someone who is a good person and loves you. If you love them do you feel as if they deserve more of a normal life? There are hidden lives for many and our mates has to adjust and change there life in some manner because of us. How do you feel?

It's important to be with somebody you love who loves you back. In relationships and marriage you accept eachothers problems whether it be health or otherwise, there is no such thing as a normal life. My husband was very aware of my condition when we first started dating and when we got married. He's aware of my restrictions. He has made it clear to me that he will take care of me no matter what. I understand the feelings you are having, I've had them too, but you have faith that your spouse loves you enough to take care of you when you need it the most. The love you have for eachother should be able to overcome obstacles.

I can clearly understand what you are both saying. I went through epilepsy brain surgery 4 months ago. I thank you both for your responses.
