About a week ago, I started having contractions. It was agony. They were between 15 and 2 minutes apart. Lasted about 45 seconds. I was also bleeding a lot, more than any other period in my life. Lots of blood clots too. I felt like I had to make a bowel movement, I went to the bathroom. A large piece of tissue came out of my vagina. It was white with blue veins, covered in blood. I was frightened. I went to the emergency room and brought the tissue with me. I finally got the results of the tissue from pathology. It was a large piece of uterus tissue. It measured about 3 inch times 2 inch, almost 1 centimeter thick. Also had a moderate hemorrhage. I had follow up with gynecologist, and am getting blood work done because of all the blood loss. Period finally ended, it last 16 days.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this???

I've had this same issue with the past 3 menstrual cycles I've had. I was terrified when it first happened and in the worst pain of my life. I've never been pregnant but it felt like I was giving birth because of the contractions but after the tissue passed I had immediate relief. When I went to my gyno I was told that the mass is referred to as a decidual cast. In most cases the lining of your uterus sheds a little at a time over the course of your period but when it all sheds at once it's referred to as the decidual cast.

I have also had this recently, it was massive what came out and i was having contractions for 7 hours, really quite ill, vomitiing, sweating and in a lot of pain with it. Did you get treated for your period problems? Ive just been to the drs and shes given me mini pill which is progesterone, I had taken Northisterone when this happened and I passed the decidual cast so really scared to take any more porgesterone, any advice?

I've been having this pain an at times if feels like im having contractions, I just had a baby she is eleven months, I know I'm not pregnant cause i just had my period two weeks ago, and just before my last period i was having the same pain and saw this white patch on my daily pad a fee days after my period was gone, tonight here it is again, it looks like a white peace of tissue paper but thick, I have never been on any type of birth control, so I don't know what it could be, I was just thinking to my self that maybe it could be the lining of the Uterus but Im not really sure.

Hello everyone, a similar thing happened to me this summer. My boyfriend and I were very active so I got on depo. When you get on depo you're suppose to wait a month or more for unprotected sex however a week after my shot we had unprotected sex with I then got plan b and 2weeks later we had sex this time I didn't bother with plan b but then 2 weeks later I got terrible cramps where it hurt and sometimes couldn't breathe. I went to the bathroom and got a urge to push and out cane this white tissue and red clots. I'm not sure still if this was a miscarriage or not. I tried looking Info up about miscarriages but none answer my question. Anyone have an opinions?

It was the second day of my period and I felt like something thick coming out of my vagina. Later when I checked, it was a crumbled piece of paper. Just to make sure it was paper or skin, I analyzed it, and it unfolded into a paper, of perfect rectangular shape, may be 2cm x3cm. How did it get in there?
I remember I went to a gynaec for some infection but that was more than two years back. I remember she inserted some kind of medication, but I dont suppose that was papery, and also took some sample using a swab for further tests. In any case how could it stay there for two years? What could be the possible reason for this weird instance?

I just started getting my period for the first time in years about 2 months back and this week was put on some anti bacterial meds.. Anyway this morning i had something come out of me.. Like 3.5inches long and an inch wide. I took a picture for my gyn because I am so scared and now there's a little pain but I really don't want to tell my bf and freak him out so I flushed it. Because it was almost like skin and you could see some black stuff inside it... I just went for another biopsy and exams ect a couple days ago... Wtf

I'm sitting in my bathroom on the toilet. I had to do my business. Right when I began to push, I felt something slimmer out of my vagina. I got up from the toilet seat and positioned my vagina on the edge of the toilet seat, so whatever was coming out would land on the seat. I wanted to know what it was. It was a clear snot, jelly looking substance lying on the toilet seat. I freaked out and immediately started googling. This isn't the first time this has happened, but it is the first time it had came out so big. I'm having lower abdominal pain like cramping. My Fiancée and I are exclusive, so I know it's not an STD. I do however have HPV, and I wanted to know was there a link. The jelly like mucus doesn't have a smell or anything. I'm just worried. 27 years old and freaking out!!! I to a pregnancy test, and thank God the results were negative. So, what then????

I had this happen a couple months back. Never had anything like it in my life. It all started while I was at work. NOTE: I just started on birth control. And I was zoning some isles...i could not stop hurting. I was in so much pain. So much that i literally wanted to run out of my body, but i couldn't.
I cant really describe it. I was sweating and doubling over. When i got home, I passed a tiny tissue, I freaked out cause I immediately thought I had a miscarriage. And then when I went to the ER, they had no idea what it was(my hospital is shit for brains I swear). But while I was there, I had bad cramps, but not like before. I had the sudden urge to go sit down on the toilet. I took one of those plastic urine measure things and passed a huge ass piece of flesh tissue. Like, maybe the diameter of a softball? After that it didn't hurt anymore and I didn't pass anything else. Still don't know what it was. Maybe it was just my uterus lining, I guess that's normal?

About a month back, I experienced needing to go the bathroom, but then I started having contractions & these bright red tissue chunks came out, this lasted about two hours. I have had a hysterectomy about 1 1/2 years ago, so I was not due to get a period or anything like that. I didn't think to collect the tissue chunks, has anyone else who has previously had hysterectomy experienced anything like this?
