I am currently trying Organic ACV on my 10 month old spots behind his knees. ACV has helped my family and friends with different ailments. It makes sense to me that it would work. I'm not diluting it with water and my son didn't feel a thing. It's probably because he hasn't scratched very much. When he wants to, I distract him and he stops. If they were open wounds, I'm sure it would stung some. Love ACV!

Stated below is a comment I sent to the National Foundation of Eczema!!!
After suffering from Atopic Eczema for 5 years, frequent visits to the Dermatologist, and applying various creams, ointments and lubricants, I searched thouroughly through the internet for a "cure" for my son.
A few months back, having suffered from eczema myself, I requested information for my 10 year old son. Thank you for the information, but nothing worked!!!
Low and behold, I discovered through the "internet forums" to apply "APPLE CIDER VINEGAR" diluted in water directly on the "Eczema" spots.
At first I was hesitant, then started to apply it 2X a day on my son's eczema (legs & arms)... He screamed w/ pain at the beginning... It has been a month, and sure enough, the eczema is about 98% cured!!!.......
My QUESTION!!!... Why aren't you notifying the PUBLIC about this... NO expensive drugs, ointments or trips to the Dermatologists (who can't do anything anyway) just a simple application of APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!!
It is a DISGRACE< that a simple method worked and YOUR FOUNDATION NEVER mentioned it!!! I will use every chance I get to HELP, yes HELP every woman, man & child that is SUFFERING from ECZEMA by persuading them to try the Apple Vinegar!!!!!!!!!!
3 years later and your post is STILL helping people!
I'm 13 years old and I have had eczema all my life. I was searching the internet a couple of months ago, and I found the eczema forum here and it was showing just a hint of your comment.
I'm very glad to say that my eczema is now controllable! I know the very slight chance that you will see this but, I just wanted to say thank you for posting! It has almost cured remaining one patch of eczema I think it's a scar :( but, the apple cider has almost made it unseeable! Every Time I start to form a new patch of eczema, I apply the apple cider, and it's gone!
Thanks again! I (or my mom) would have NEVER thought of this in a million years!

Please can someone tell me if apple cider vinegar option is viable on my eight year old daughter's face? If we dilute it a little more , wil it still be effectve? She recently developed ecsma on her face.. we are trying to determine the cause...are there certain brands of ACV which better to use??

They say that any organic ACV is good. It needs to contain the ingredient "mother"

Please like my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/lincolnallergytestin... . I am an ex-eczema sufferer, and now a nutritionist and bioresonance practitioner specialising in skin conditions. I retrained when a nutritionist told me I had candida, which when treated solved my skin problem. After years of steroid creams etc someone finally fund why I had eczema. I did my dissertation on trigger factors linked with eczema, and regularly update my Facebook Page with news regarding finding and resolving these trigger factors, clinical research, causes and treatments for eczema. I've been there and know how awful this condition is.
Please do not give up - there will be a reason for your condition. I'm not cured, my skin is normal again but I have to watch my diet and lifestyle to ensure that Candida (one of my triggers) doesn't come back but boy, is it worth it!

Day three of ACV treatment plan and it is working great! No more itching, but still burns a little when apied to eczema. The ACV has made my eczema dry up and my skin is peeling. I AM NOT USING ANY MOISTURIZER YET. Just the Bragg's ACV. Also am putting 1-2 tbsp in a glass of water and drinking it 30 min. before each meal as suggested on this forum. Only wearing 100% cotton clothes and using cotton sheets. Wash sheets every week!
Only eating orgabic whole foods and drinking water with lemon - A LOT! Using Black African Shea Butter soap and Pine Tar shampoo. Very quick shower lukewarm water every OTHER day. Then immediately pat dry and apply the ACV. Im using All Free and Clear detergent. Sleeping in long sleeve cotton shirts, corton pj pantd, and cotton gloves. CVS has the cotton gloves in first aid isle. Wash before wearing then. The ACV will burn like the dickens for a few minutes but then it stops and the itching will decrease. Like I said - try no moisturizers and just the ACV. Your skin will feel tight but this is okay. Remember it takes a couple of days to see a difference.

Oh... I apply the ACV onto a cotton ball and then swab onto my eczema. I do this 3 times a day.

Thank you so much for your post! ACV is working!! My eczema is finally getting better. It is totally shameful that dermatologists reconmend steriods over ACV. It's all about the money. I wish I knew this 31 years ago when I was diagnosed with
dermatitis. Nan; thank you!!!!

I have read practically everything I could find about the late Edgar Cayce. I have suffered with eczema for several months and it occurred to me to find out what Cayce might have prescribed in one of his "readings". Fortunately I found what he recommended: Slippery Elm Tea. I have ordered a couple of bottles and am anxious to try it. I am having some relief with lotion that I have mixed with sulfur.(18 oz bottle with 7 tablespoons sulfur). Avoiding dairy products is making a big difference!

Thank God for the internet. What I am learning is helping me more than the dermatologist I have used!

Eczema is a term of one condition that the skin is irritated, itchy, inflamed, and even broken skin. It is also referred to as atopic dermatitis, the term for broad range of skin condition that generally manifest as chronically inflamed and extremely skin.

Atopic dermatitis begins at any age, but this is not common. 90% of individuals who suffer from atopic dermatitis develop the disorder before 5 years of age. Eczema commonly seen in infants and children.

The bothersome thing of eczema during evening and nighttime, causing disruptions to sleep.

The appearance of Eczema is dry and prone to become scaly rather than wet and encrusted.

The skin sores are dry and red, and may be opened by persistent itching, and also by unconsciously scratching during bedtime.

Irritation and opening of sores may easily lead to infect+ion and scarring, which results in long term physicals. Scary!!! For those who really care about their skin conditions.

Yes, even we decided to go with nature cures. What worked for my boy was Turmeric. I have now blogged about it in the hope that it helps others too.
