Hey everyone, I'm been dealing with eczema for about 7 years now. I got it after a punture wound in my leg when I was 25. My pops had mild to moderate eczema too so who knows if the punture was just coincidence. Anyway the itch is unbearable. If I do not itch it it seems to recover much faster and stops the patch spreading. I've tried all kinds of things. Obviously nothing totally cures it yet but to eliminate the itch is a beautiful thing.

I kept trying new things and thought maybe a liquid bandage cover might help with the scratching and infections. Oh the wonderful sting the new skin provides. Pain is better than itch anyday in my book. After the liquid bandage dries it no longer stings but it also doesn't itch and seems to speed the recover of outbreaks.

I'm interested in knowing if anyone else has tried this and if it stops the itch for them too.

Eczema... I hate you.

I am trying the liquid bandage myself tonight as a last resort to solving this eczema outbreak.I have been dealing with dyshidrotic eczema since 2003 , but the humidity this summer plus training as a phlebotomist has really flared it up.I will report back to you on if it makes it heal faster.I really need to get rid of this to do my job!!!

Funny thing.... my son had a patch of rash on his face that I thought was ringworm and it turned out to be eczema. I kept it coverered with liquid bandage for about a week and it cleared up fairly fast. He just had another outbreak and the steroid cream isn't working nearly as well as the liquid bandage did. I will begin the liquid bandage again to see how it works.

I am a hairstylist and have struggled with eczema for years. Now with gardening this summer, had a severe case on hands. I have tried everything to no avail, so as a last resort I reached for the new-skin which I always have on hand for cuts. It took the itch and flaking away immediately!!! Will keep it on for the next few weeks and see if it gets any better. So far I am totally pleased just getting rid of the ITCH!!!! Maybe we have found the best treatment for eczema in this product! Think I will go load up on more right now!

I tried the " new skin, on my own on my eczema and wondered if anyone else had positive results with it... And I can see others have, been struggling with a flare the last 5 1/2 weeks and put it on my hand , it was split skin, and stang everytime, I washed my hands, it healed fast , reapplied several times., it healed and took the the itch down too, so I tried it on other areas, and seems to stop the itch and heal pretty well , glad to have found something to make it more bareable... And glad to see , Im not alone...

Wow, I finally feel like I understand what I have on my ankle...The flare ups in the heat(even simply taking a hot shower is something I used to not look forward to because I knew the hot water would indourage itching... After trying creams and rubbing alcohol I turned to new skin. I was so desperate at this point just to stop the itch!! So far so good. A slight itch since but that's it. Also provides a barrier so I can't scratch it.. Anyways I will post my results (hopefully) good results soon!!
