I had the same issue with my ears for years. Suffered from itching and pain. A week ago I went to a new ENT. He flushed my ears of extra wax or debris from the q-tip. He prescribed the Monetizing Furore Cream UPS 0.1%. I haven't had a problem since.

Olive oil or aveeno. Spanish doctor refused to give me steroids when I asked for them telling me that over use would thin the skin which would leave me with some painful problems in my old age.

I have ear eczema, sometimes my ear is full of flaky skin which I can't stop picking out!! Sometimes my ears weep. When it gets to this stage I use 123 magicream and within about 24-36 hrs it clears up and I am free of it for several days. I am now getting low on my magicream supplies and looked to find the supplier and found health warnings from the Irish Health Dept. What now? I had anti biotic drops from my doctor and they did no good. I'll try the olive oil tip from mamajane but magicream is just so good!

I wear 2 hearing aids; allegedly the molds are supposed to be free from giving us woe, i.e. hypoallergenic;! maybe some of us r super-sensitive; i don't know what causes it...but i just deal with it and try to keep from screaming; right now it's caused an infection in one ear; not sure "it" is the mold; My ears are both very dry; so i try to keep them lubricated; moisture is not good for ears or hearing aids apparently; i have recently started really keeping the aids clean and put them in a siemens dehumidifier @ night; i first heard my ENT dr. say exzema yesterday; never heard them say that b4; at any rate, i have to take anti-biotic drops for 10 days because of infection; take care and be careful! good luck

I have had Eczema and itchy ears for about 4 years now. I've tried so many drops, sprays, steroids, creams, antibiotics and nothing has worked.
I've been to see the ENT at the hospital, they gave me swim plugs so my ears didn't get wet. They didn't help. I just cannot help but use a cotton bud and itch my ears about 5 times daily. Its so painful and annoying. I can feel how dry my ears are inside... it even gets to the point that i itch it that much they bleed.

Had enough of it now.. and apparently to my dr they cannot help me :(

I posted over 6 months ago; since then I have found something that is working for me; I use an OTC Anti-Itch cream...just a little dab with my pinky finger;...around, but not in the canal; My ENT suggested I try it; My Dermatologist said this 1% cream I'm using is very safe and if I had to do it twice a day for the rest of my life it would be okay...I use it at night...sometimes I don't even need it...I'll probably throw away the steroid oil that works but is not safe....Before inserting my hearing aids, I put a drop of Miracell on my pinky and around the ear but not in the canal...I've been infection, itching and inflammation free for 3 months now ...so I thought I'd put this out in case it works for others...also...I've stopped using Q-tips and try to keep my ears moisture free...I changed shampoo usage to Dr. Bronner's and use ACV for hair rinse...the blow driver on my ears helps too.

I use Otomize spray which clears it up within 24-48 hours. I would also recommend using non bio washing powder when washing bedding and changing his pillow cover every 48 hours. It may seem a bit extreme but it works!

Don't use magi cream. Try momestone furate cream or ointment. A doctor will prescribe. It works.

Finally found a doctor who knew how to cure my ear eczema...it's a product called "Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment".
I used it on Friday and by Monday it was cured!!!
I've suffered from itchy, flaky, and dry ears for over a decade and it was gone in a matter of days.
I had a similar experience. Triamcinolone Acetonide was prescribed to me for a finger injury; later I discovered that it was great therapy for my chronic itching ears.

I've had horrible eczema since I was a young child and in my ears was the worst. It flared up badly with hormonal changes including adolescence, pregnancy, and now pre-menopause. My grandma used to do something when I was younger that seemed to help-she was a naturalist and practiced homeopathic medicine. She's long gone but I remember the treatment. I started using because I was at my wits end and being a girl if modern science I tried all the doctor recommended and prescribed methods first with virtually no relief. But my grandmas way had me feeling better the next day. Try it. It really does soothe! 1. Rinse ear canal gently with lister one mouthwash. If your ear is really irritated you can dilute it with water to cut down on the burning but full strength is best. Let it sit in your ear for a couple to three minutes. Dry gently. Then, you gently place honey in your ear. Yes honey. I use clover honey. My grandma used pure honey from a beekeeper. Let the honey set for ten minutes then rinse with warm water and dry gently. Immediately coat your ear with some zinc oxide cream. The listerine and honey kill the bacteria that causes the itching flaking scabs and the zinc keeps moisture of the healing skin. You can reapply the zinc several times a day too keep the itch down. It really works.
Thank YOU for posting this!!! I tried the Listerine - put some on a cotton pad and used on my eyelids and ear lobs and it worked perfectly!! I also apply a little zinc cream at night to maintain the good moisture. For 3 years I have tried every lotion and medicated cream with no success. This worked!!

It is such a sketchy and hoaxy looking web site but i decided to give it a try since my ears have been driving me up the wall for at least 4 years now and i was willing to try anything. It's been day 4 and my ears cleared up! I have yet to get an itch and the inside is no longer flaky or irritated!!!! When i went to the doctor to get it checked out awhile back he said there was no cure for ear eczema and gave me topical steroids and creams that didnt do much. ive never been one to take mainstream medicine but i was desperate. Seriously try it!!! It smells really nice too
FYI This website is no longer valid. I know this is years later, but no one cleans up the Internet, so garbage like this stays on.
