Pretty simple cure that worked for me and might work for you...

1 - Shower less. Every other day instead of daily. Turn water temp down to lukewarm or cool if you can stand it. Don't use harsh soaps. Use a bar of oatmeal soap instead of the usual deodarant soaps.

2 - Moisturize with colloidal oatmeal lotion after you shower. Your whole body, not just the rough spots. A good brand is Aveeno.

3 - Get a prescription for a steroid creme such as Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% and mix 50/50 with the Eucerin cream (Use the thickest or "richest" available). Apply to harsh spots on skin.

4 - Drink tons of water. Go for 8 glasses a day.

5 - Use a humidifier

And of course, before you do any of this, see your doctor first. But if you can't immediately at least try the Aveeno lotion. I'm not sure why oatmeal works, but it does.

Thank you. I don't shower everyday for sure. I did find a shampoo that doesn't seem to break my hands out. It is called Argon Oil. Have only tried once since I just got it. But will give it a try tonite. I haven't tried the Aveeno but did get Gold Bond Eczema lotion. It has that same oatmeal in it. It is wonderful! I have the steroid creme but pretty much quit using it. I use a little cortizone 10 and then cocount oil and Aquafor. That stuff is amazing too! I'm with you on the water to. I try to drink a lot. I found a recipe for detox water I use. Slice fresh apples (peel if not organic) cinnamon stick and lemon or lime slices. I use a half. Keep in a jar in fridge, then everytime you I like the ideapour a glass fill the jar again. It tastes amazing. I like the idea of running a humidifier too. The air is so dry and with hear running so much makes it worse.
Thanks for your ideas.

My post has a little confusing sentence in it. I just saw it. My curser jumped while typing. Anyway you can get the idea of what I meant.
