Bladder Infections Caused By Diver

I know diverticulitis is an infection in colon but what if you have a bladder infection with blood in urine (lab results) Can it infect the colon and cause Diverticulitis??? My doctor is going to do a pap smear this coming Tuesday to find out what is going on. Have had this symptoms for months and been on antibiotics with no results. I am new at this diver so don't know much

Hi Curious, I have heard a few people on here talk about fistulas between the colon and the bladder which could cause blood in the urine. So that is the other way around really, the diver causing a connection between the colon and the bladder and causing infections and blood in the urine! Try reading up on fistulas because I don't know much about them myself. Hope they get to the bottom of this problem for you. Joy

Thanks Joy I went to my family doctor and found I have a yeast infection but do not have symptoms as burning,itching,odor just constant going to bathroom. I was scared what ever it was could it travel to my colon since I know infections causes diver Now my doctor says my WBC is up and yeast infections do not cause this. My WBC has been up for a month now.

Hi I had a UTI I think from what Doctor told me had Reversal three years ago..in my 60..had awful situation running to bathroom all night..finally after two round sof antibi,I went to health food store..spoke to a lady there and she said sometimes with women my age get issues from too many antib..they dry us out so I took OMega 7 from Chapter One Vitamins,.within oone week after taking them twice aday..and lots of pray it went away>>Try it if you have these issues also look up Chapter One Vitamins..they..I swear by them
