Hi Larry,
I posted to you in the other thread, but I'm afraid you may not see it there. I've been wondering how you are doing. I'm glad you are not too sick from the chemo. I hope things continue to go well. Take care of yourself and please keep us posted. Tons of prayers and hugs for you

Thanks for being so kind. Tought it was time to make a Chemo Forum hope this will also help others that have had/have Cancer in the colon I have 20 days now till the next go-round last month I felt good for that 2 weeks W/O the Chemo Meds Dr. told me that my healing from the resection would take over a year had 1st Sugery July 12th 2011
then things fell apart ended up in ER end of July the Local Hosp. was not doing a lot for me so I Signed out and went back to the VAMC where they found I was Infected they put in a emergence drain on Aug 16 2011
then I was tols they though had a leak so Back for Emergence Sugery where they opened me like a tuna put in 5 drains at this time i was 285 Lbs 6' tall big boy I have lost a little over 100 Lbs I am now 205 Lbs Higest was 309Lbs the lost of waight has made a big diffrence I was not healing well so I spent 45 Days in a Cumminty Living Center at the VAMC WPB, Fl they did a good job of getting me to heal so as you can see 2011 was not one of my best years thing I hate the most is I am Bald from the Chemo now but they tell me it will grow back someday

Well I am ranting now

God Bless all and hope no one else has to go through the chemo

Yes, Larry, it does make sense. You had a heck of a year last year. Hopefully everything will go better the rest of this year. That's pretty cool your hair will grow back. Keep the faith!!!

Larry, you are a hero -all of us on here are moaning about side effects of the antibiotics or having post op whinges while you are having to go through all this on top of the resection. You make me feel humbled.

I hope everything goes well for you.

Larry. That's so great you started the other forum. I know several people who would have loved to know someone elsewhere experiences. When I see how people feel better from info on this forum I know it will do the same.
Prayers for you.

Bark

The neupogen shots I have to take for 7 days put an ache in my bones.
it does not last long after I stop the shots. And advil or tylenol gets Rid of the pain. Neupogen is a Colony Stimulating Factor to make more white cells to ward off infections.

well that is what is going on in the life of TheRaz

My Prayers to all and may you all fell like brand new really soon

Teddy Bear Hugs Also !!!!!

Well that makes sense that that would make your bones hurt. Glad you have something to help with the pain. Strangely they give me Cymbalta for mine. Crazy but it works.
Glad you're here for people going through your similar circumstances. My sister wouldn't go for testing and ended up passing because she was afraid of the testing and care.

Hi, i am going to see an oncologist this afternoon. Per my own research, it sounds like chemo for colon cancer rarely causes hair loss. Is it true? I am a little worried. Thanks!
