I am a type 2 insulin diabetic. I have been taking Byetta since September initially starting on 5mg. First few weeks went well. Took medication at same time as eating as suggested to stop nausea. Lost 3lbs and sugar levels decreased was able to reduce insulin - FAB. Changed to 10mg. Started feeling nausea within an hour of medication that stayed for hours or until I ate again. Now approximately 4 - 5 days on the evening I start to feel really tired and cold which then follows with egg burps. This is followed 4-5 hours later by vomiting and abdominal discomfort which lasts until the morning. I am then fine. I don't think I have lost much more weight. Has anyone else suffered with this or is it just me. Not sure if I can keep going with it.

I took bayeta about 5 mths I lost about 2 lbs
in afternoons I'd have a slight upset stomach
and I got a few lows at time , In all honesty between pills, insulin and bayetta I took one daily shot instead of 2 like my Dr ordered. My hair around my temples broke and my hair got thin I have top taking for 5 mths now& my hair is growing back I have no idea if it was medication combination or just bayetta,
Bayetta is made from lizard spit

I have been taking byetta 5 mg. for a little over a month. at first i was so sick at my stomach that my doctor called me in something for the nausea. then 2 weeks later, I began belching the rotten egg burps. And occasionally i will wake up so sick to my stomach that all i do is cry. I go see my doc on tuesday. hopefully something will come up.

I just started the Byetta. Not sure bout it. Very hungry all the time. Eggy burps in p.m. I'm gonna try it for another week. Cant really check my levels due to having epadural shot in my back. Streoids raises my levels.
