As a diabetic i get a low blood sugar event once in a while,to date i've always been able to turn the situation around by eating something or taking a couple of sugar pills.
I was wondering what happens if in one of these low sugar episodes i do not have any access to food or sugar do i die?
Thanks for any info.

The brain only recognizes glucose as a source of energy! if there is no glucose there will be some damage done to the brain but you have to be low for a long period of time!! and if there is no oxygen in the brain...you can die! Remember energy is produced when a glucose and insulin are together in the cell! its a lot of biochem!!!
Make sure your sugar is not anywhere between 80-100 when you go to sleep :)
I hope I was able to answer your question or at least give you an idea
