Diabetes should be monitored strictly and it really requires a lifestyle change.

This is good news in that it validates the fact that obesity is a primary risk factor of diabetes. While surgery may be an option, there are also other methods which does not incur much expense. One can reduce that weight through proper diet and exercise. This can be easily achieved without being exposed to risks of complications.
