The Byetta drug may be prescribed for treating diabetes but has been linked a higher occurrence of thyroid and pancreatic cancer than any other traditional treatments. Recent studies have prompted updated warnings for consumers who might possibly take the injectable diabetes medication from taking it. This story is being repeated with different plaintiffs; each claiming the same circumstances that led to injury. Taking Byetta for an extended period of time may lead to eventually developing either thyroid or pancreatic cancer and subsequent heavy medical costs. A significant number of those who've suffered from Byetta complications have begun filing pending lawsuits against Amylin Pharmaceuticals. Like Byetta, Victoza patients are also at risk of Thyroid Cancer. I read an article at http://www.slideshare.net/gregoryhbrown89/vic... The Washington-based group urged the federal agency to remove the product from the market, claiming that it poses serious health risks, including kidney failure and thyroid cancer, in patients, according to a Reuters report.

Studies have suggested that Byetta side effects may increase the risk of thyroid cancer, yet the drug makers have failed to provide sufficient warnings for its users. Many of its users filed lawsuits against its manufacturer for adverse effects they experienced. Check out (site) for more helpful information about the side effects Byetta may bring.
