In some instances, depression treatment may not solely need the aid of medications, but may also require psychological therapy. In fact, most psychiatrists recommend talk therapy to patients with mild to moderate symptoms of depression to avoid the risk of side effects from antidepressants. Patients with severe symptoms may need to stick to their medication, in addition to talk therapy. See for more helpful information.
