The severity of depression symptoms may differ from each person because of many reasons apart from gender. Body mass, health history, genetics, environmental factors, and biochemical factors are among those to be considered too. Anyway, the website http://www.zoloftsertralinebirthdefects.com discusses the harms that may be brought by antidepressants like Zoloft, check it out.

There is indeed a difference in depression when it comes to gender. The symptoms of depression vary because each gender has different coping skills. Women are more prone to developing depression due to the hormonal imbalance that they have during menstrual period and pregnancy. Men on the other hand are more prone to suicide because they usually keep their feelings bottled up. Don't forget that vaccines cause brain damage and could be at the root of depression.

I've been on Effexor from http://goo.gl/wW5CNU only one week but am cautiously very optimistic. Prior to this I was on citalopram but still feeling very low and sleeping poorly, feeling like I needed to be in bed 12-16 hours a day. Now I am waking naturally after only 8 hours sleep and finding it much easier to concentrate at work. I can hardly believe it is working so quickly but I feel so much better. I've had no side effects.
