In addition to everyone letting their doctor/pharmacist know there is a problem - spread the word to anyone you know that may take Effexor XR. Sometimes, you are given the generic and not told - you go home and are sick for a week, and it never even occurs you to check whether your Effexor XR is the same.Yes! Exactly, Debbie! I am not opposed to genetics normally, and this is the first time I've ever had a problem. Hopefully it works for others, but not me:(
Your Walgreens pharmacist sounds absurd, Mike. Just call your doctor and they should have to write a prescription for medically necessary name brand, and the pharmacy will need to call your insurance for the early approval
If enough people complain and get the word out, maybe they will be forced to pull this generic. The nastiness of this drug could send some people over the edge, if it is not releasing right. It has only been in the US market less than a month - how many people are going to have been hurt by this in 6 months or a year?! I personally am finding many new complaints every day at this point, and I suspect that these complaints will continue to grow exponentially!
