Indeed watching the ads of drug companies does have an effect on the consumer, they either think that that they also have the disease and need the drug badly or that the more they see the drug on TV the more effective it is. Some people do self diagnosis and its good that Paxil and any other antidepressants need a prescription from a doctor in order to get it. It may be that one can get addicted to prescription medicine, and if you want to know about Paxil addiction you can check this site out http://www.paxilbirthdefectlaw.com/paxil-addi...

You folks sure like to focus on the negative. Prescription drugs save hundreds of millions of lives every year, and vaccines save even MORE than that. Sure, there are going to be side effects, but it's the FDA's job to determine whether or not they are justified considering the potential benefits of the medication.

If a medication that would save my life gave me blurred vision and muscle weakness, I would personally consider that fair.

When it comes to SSRI antidepressants, the effects can be scary. There are a lot of symptoms that are being linked with these types of drugs.
It has been found that SSRIs cause two significant side effects: increased thoughts of suicide, and complications for those with pre-existing heart conditions. Furthermore, taking SSRIs while you are pregnant can also cause your unborn baby to suffer adverse side effects.
