There are 22 comments on the The Santa Fe New Mexican story from Dec 11, 2009, titled Study: Personality shift might be cure for depression. In it, The Santa Fe New Mexican reports that:

Antidepressant medications taken by roughly 7 percent of American adults effect profound personality changes in many patients with depression, far beyond simply lifting the veil of sadness, a study has found a ' raising the possibility that a basic shift in personality is what drives the cure.

The links between antidepressants and violence are well documented.
Researchers from Cardiff University in Britain and the Cochrane Centre examined data on Paxil -- or its generic form, paroxetine -- from GlaxoSmithKline, legal cases and emails from nearly 1,400 patients who responded to a British TV program on antidepressants. The researchers found that 60 out of 9,219 people taking Paxil -- 0.65 percent -- experienced a "hostility event," compared to 20 out of 6,455 patients taking placebo, or 0.31 percent.
This finding helps explain why school shootings are almost always conducted by children who are taking antidepressants. We also know that SSRIs cause children to disconnect from reality. When you combine that with a propensity for violence, you create a dangerous recipe for school shootings and other adolescent violence.

After the last election the Republicans went into depression, took Paxil and this explains their weird behavior now.

Perhaps a frontal or reartal lobotomy might be the answer to these childrens' problems.

Yeah, right... OK, let them keep trying to fix spiritual human flaws by administering physical-psichotropic humanly devised 'cures'.
We all know how well, long and permanent they 'work', don't we?? can't help but think of that cop-killer; 2-3 cops?, the cycle shop owner and the city/county/state? employee gunned down in ABQ 2-3 years ago..
Sure it works

On the one hand, the idea that anti-depressants might cause a beneficial change in personality is a hopeful idea. Lots of people suffer from depression that virtually destroys their entire lives. Many of these people do have personality characteristics, such as shyness, that probably exascerbate the sense of depression. If anti-depressants can change those sorts of personality characteristics, it seems reasonable that some of the sense of depression should be lifted. As for people getting violent on anti-depressants, this could be a danger. But the idea of banning anti-depressants and condemning those with depression to a life of misery seems a bit of an over-reaction at best and cruel at worst. There has to be a happy medium. Maybe some kind of regimen of observation can be set up to try and get a hint if someone is having such a reaction. But depression needs to be dealt with through whatever means are available. Depression is a terrible thing to have to live with.

Changes in diet and exercise can help with depression.
also a good therapist.
Some medications can cause more problems than they are worth.

The mental health / Pharmacutical industry caused drug abuse.

The mental health industry is making a diagnoses on the physiological differences between the so called "mentally ill" and the "normal" without knowing what a proper and healthy chemical "balance" look like?" There is no test according to the APA but yet they manufactured the illness and provided the addicting drugs including to children less then threee years old and then used Reglan(A-anti-psychotic drug) on infants less then one week old for spitting up.

If we respect metabolic changes based on daily dietary habits, weight gain / loss, terms of the survival of the organisms as a person age along with physical conditioning, physical illness, electrolyte level, gender differences , body temperature, I don't see where the Mental Health and Counseling Industry could conform to any consistency in data with consideration to the above to state a person has a mental disease or illness based on chemical imbalance.

Besides, the mental health psychiatric diagnoses isn't even part of standard medical procedure known as the medical model in which all doctors are trained and is the only branch of medicine operating completely on political decisions and hearsay.

If an orthopedic surgeon operated on a patient without the aid of an X-ray, he would be working at the car wash the next day.

No Test for chemical imbalance

There Are No tests for "Chemical Imbalances"

"The hypothetical disturbances of neurochemical function that are said to underlie "mental illness" are just that: hypothetical. No experiment has ever shown that anyone has an "imbalance" of any neurotransmitters or any other brain chemicals. Nor could any conceivable experiment demonstrate the existence of a "chemical imbalance," simply because no one, least of all the biopsychiatrists, has the slightest idea what a proper and healthy chemical "balance" would look like."

"...the views and beliefs of biopsychiatry have nothing to do with the answers to scientific questions in any case: the hunt for biological "causes" of "mental illness" is an entirely fallacious enterprise in the first place; the non- existence of data to support its assertions is quite beside the point."

"The latest edition of one pharmacology text has this to say about the status of depression as a disease: "Despite extensive efforts, attempts to document the metabolic changes in human subjects predicted by these [biological] hypotheses have not, on balance, provided consistent or compelling corroboration." This is a long-winded way of admitting that not even a scrap of evidence supports the idea that depression results from a "chemical imbalance." Yet patients are told every day - by their doctors, by the media, and by drug company advertising - that it is a proven scientific fact that depression has a known biochemical origin. It follows directly that millions of Americans are being lied to by their doctors; and people surely can't give informed consent for drug treatment when what they're being "informed" by is a fraud.... To sum up: there is no evidence whatsoever to support the view that "mental illness" is biochemical in origin; in other words, things like "Unipolar Disorder" and "Attention Deficit Disorder" simply do not exist." ...

Not always, especially with major depressive disorder and/or dysthymic disorder, which is a chronic, long lasting form of depression sharing many symptoms with... and sometimes co-existing with major depressive disorder.

Try spending 2, 3 or 5 years in the pits of despair, feeling no pleasure at all and fix that with a little walking, change in diet or something like that. Yeah right.

If someone is suffering from melancholy, I suggest they take up new aims in life and live every day in life as though it is a great day. Look forward to waking up in the morning and look forward to laying down to sleep knowing tomorrow will be another positive day. Read success God's way by Dr. Charles Stanley.

If someone is depressed over injustice that may never be restored, I suggest you turn it over to the authorities(if you can) and turn it over in your heart and soul to God. If you are someone who has been drugged and sexually assaulted, as we are seeing more of these days, and you can't act because of such things as it took too many years to remember, or the cops and court people were involved, turn it over to God and let vengeance be the Lords. Maybe someone will be directed by God to vindicate you. I pray this for all in the name of Jesus Christ amen!

For someone suffering from melancholy, I suggest they start living every day with new aims in life. Wake up every morning with the idea that they are a step closer in their goals and at the end of the day they will be even closer and enjoying every day. And go to sleep knowing in their heart that tomorrow will be even better. Try reading Success Gods way by Dr Charles Stanley.

If someone is depressed because of some injustice that they can do nothing about, I suggest they turn it over to the authorities and or turn it over to God in their heart.

Some may not be able to act legally to something like a sexual assault because it took too many years to remember due to being drugged, as happens more often these days. Turn that over to God and God will find someone in law enforcement, maybe the courts, to help you or vindicate you. But also turn it over to God in your heart like he says(believe He will act when you ask and butt out and wait on God). The Bible says wait on the lord. God I ask this for all that this applies in the name of your son Jesus, amen. Bill

Personality shift equals "attitude adjustment".

Attitude is the alignment of our value system. Philosophy is found inside of this value system that I would prefer to call attitude.

If you take on the challenge of curing people psychologically you mmust address their philosophy. It is not imperative to have a thorough understanding of all the different philosophies. But a therapist must understand their patients personal thought process before forging a plan to cure the person.
Some people think that they just are who they are and do not realize that they have adopted their philosophy and they have the ability to adopt a different one. The additude must be challenged in many cases.

The profound changes of the personality from anti-depressant and psychotropic drugs is a large part of the increase in homosexuality. Those individual that were denied the freedom of choice. The loss of artist, musicians and writers are another example of the profound personality changes from the use of the mind medications.

Federal programs that enhance the theory of depression or mental illness like the Disability payments or IDEA for payment to the school system would make a lot of people sell their soul (if they ever had one) for the almighty buck especially in hard times. Those administrating the program would declare everyone with a bogus disorder.

The pharmaceutical / mental health industry is a threat to the core of our democracy. They are political and enhanced themselves on the Republic Ticket of corruption.

Why your kid is drugged in school

How it works:

The State Department of Education gets monies from the Federal Government (Disability) under a program called "Idea" for each child diagnosed with a disability. A disability could be ADD/ADHD, Bi-polar disorder, Depression or any of the other mental diagnoses.

Who profits: The State Department of Education, the mental health and counseling Industry, the Pharmaceutical company and the money that is kicked back by lobbyists for politicians special interest and of course the legal profession.

All this at the cost of your child's Health and welfare.

There is indeed a change in personality that happens because some would say that they have become irritable. These are usually side effects of taking Paxil. You can know more about it at .

The personality of a person when depressed is different from their normal personality. A change in a different personality from being depressed might get the person confused of what he/she really is. Although there are some who does have a change in their personality when they are taking antidepressants. It said that it can also cause brain defects if you are using Paxil for a long time. You can read all about it in this site .

#25 Aug 5, 2013 is an honest and genuine online pharmacy. We were not sure at first because this was our first order of generic medication from this pharmacy. Although it takes a bit long because it got stuck with custom, we are completely sastisfied with this online pharmacy.
You won't be disappointed with them. Their customer service is great too although they need to improve their phone system a bit more. If you need to call them just be sure to call during their working hours. Other than that we highly and sincerely recommend this online pharmacy to everyone.
