Acknowledging the condition, and talking about is a step forward in taking down depression. As daunting as it may seem, accepting its existence may actually help a patient progress in treatment. Fighting depression takes more than just medications as a successful treatment also relies on the patient's will to recover. In cases where antidepressants are needed, there are articles at that could be a good reference.
