Probably, everyone knows that antidepressants are not the same. However, not everyone knows how they do differ from one another. Here is some information:

The best anti-depressant isn't an drug!!! Try St. John's Wort. It is a natural occurring root said to ease the pangs of depression.
Vitamins also help along with talking to a friend.
Whoever invented the iniquitous drugs-for-depression theory should be publicly arraigned and out on trial.

My brother was using cymbalta to cure his depression. He used to be depressed and had suicidal thoughts. But since he has started taking cymbalta http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s33724-s-CYMBALTA.... , there was a difference in his attitude. From my point of view, I think that cymbalta is the best antidepressant.

And I do not believe you. I think you work for the drug company.

You sure do have a point, your Lordship.

If the wealth were shared, people would not be so depressed. Inequality causes mental illness.

The love of money is the root of all evil. It's a pity the whole sodding lot can't be bundled up onto a big bonfire and burnt. It's making slaves out of all of us.

Inequality makes it so that one person can buy 100 big houses while a hundred people live in squalor in the street. You can only live in one house at a time. But the 1000 house man is afraid of someone stealing his stash, so he invests it in property he doesn't need. It is bonkers!

Wise words, Zoompad, totally agree. Money was supposed to ease the bartering process. Instead, it's become a commodity in itself. I believe that the root of all this misery is interest payable on loaned money. For example, if I owned a bank, and the collective savings of all of my depositors amounted to, say,£20billion, i would be able to lend a total of £200billion. In other words, I could charge interest on money that doesn't exist.
This may seem off topic, and I apologise for that. However, people are getting cancer stressing over debt. It's a killer. You're right, Zoompad. It's got to stop.

it's weak and doesn't work for 60% of people. i tryed it when everyone i knew said pills were for fools and it was something i just had to work out myself. you and your rederick aren't helping. keep that s**t to yourself, if it worked for you than great, but some people are really f**ked up and need real medicine!!!!! buspar is great it takes your emotions and burys them, so you can better choose how to react to things instead of just freaking out all the time. i am not doc76013 i am his lover/roomy. you wanna say somethin to me? lilfetis@yahoo.com

Psychotic drugs are not real medicine. The whole psychiatric drugs industry is like a house built on sand.

People become ill in their mind because of social issues. They are not born with these "illnesses".

People are getting sicker and sicker, and yet there are more and more drugs being dished out. It's not hard to see the reason that people are suffering from mental health problems.

A few years ago, I was living in a crime ridden area in Handsworth. I was a single mum, struggling with just about everything, trying to "better" myself by going to college, struggling to fund the course, I was scared to lave my house for fear of a break in, I was scared to sleep at night following a firework being pushed through my letterbox one evening, I was a rape survivor, I was going to a local church but then a pedophile church deacon raped my best friends 6 year old kid and my daughter would have been his next victim, I was being harassed by a mob of kids every day who used to bang on my doors and windows all evening, I was in danger of homelessness if I didn't pay the rent (which I didn't have), ect ect ect. When I went to the doctor and told him all that, he said "I can't help you with these problems" and wrote me a prescription for some tranquillizers and sleeping pills. This is the reality of what happens. I have heard the same type of story from so many other people.

People have to look out for each other. We all have a duty to look out for our neighbors. If we don't, no amount of pills in the world will heal any of us.

And your degree is in ? Your level of education in the field is? psychotropic drugs DO work quite well, they not only raise the level of seratonin but also keep in check those dark voices that some hear, tell me Doctor what do you prescribe for schizophrenia ? How about MPD ? Before you spout uninformed information on drugs and their action have information to back it up.

Here's your real information, doctor, from a real patient. Psychotropic drugs just mask the problem. I've been on antidepressants for years - but the factors that have made me depressed have not gone away. All the drugs have done is prevent me going over the edge and committing suicide. It's a loser's panacea. I want rid of my problems, not to have an artificially induced state of happiness that has no basis in external reality, in spite of them.

You want to know what I would prescribe for schizophrenia and MPD?

Well I've met plenty of people with these "illnesses" and every one of them had been abused in some way. There is so much sexual abuse in our communities, that is why so many people are getting sick! They invent personalities because they just cannot deal with the crap that has happened to them, and no-one will listen to them and show a little human kindness!

I've heard the same story time after time after time, and it sickens me. It really is a crying shame the way we treat each other. What the hell is the matter with us all?

As for doctors, well, with death warrant merchants such as Harold Shipman, Roy Meadows and David Southall, I think I will stick to an apple a day and steer well clear of these coffin salesman's reps if you don't mind!

But if I told you that I got a Ph.D at Oxford would that impress you?

Poverty and desperation are CONDITIONS of your depression. Just so you know their are many kinds of Depression two that come to mind in your case are conditional and unconditional. Those that have serious problems when the sun shines for example and are still at unease may be the symptom of unconditional, how is your doctor suppose to support you with poverty? To many people here in this forum have severe depression and a chemical unbalance. For you to even suggest that their meds are not working is ludicrous. Find counseling and work toward the betterment of life, rather than ranting about meds that did not work in your situation. How many psychotropics have you been on and with what supervision to tell anyone that they don't work?

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Sagittarius

The mood is considerably lighter as the Moon enters Aries and your fifth house of romance and creativity today; plan to enjoy a good time tonight. Make a play date with your inner child and forget about all your responsibilities for a few hours; you've been working hard and deserve time off for good behaviour. Just remember, no drinking and driving... hire a cab if you plan to go out for the evening.
