Procter and Gamble: Fixodent contains a form of zinc which is bonded to an unknown formulation. Procter & Gamble failed to warn about the product's risks and failed to provide adequate warnings about the zinc in Fixodent, or adequate instructions to prevent deviation from accepted use.
Being exposed to an excessive amount of zinc can result in copper depletion and serious negative adverse neurological effects. In 2008, the peer reviewed journal "Neurology" reported on patients suffering from neuropathy and other neurological symptoms typical of zinc poisoning and copper depletion. It was determined that excess use of denture cream could have been responsible for their symptoms. Yet it is still on the market

What do you think excessive use of fixodent denture cream is? Why? Because Being exposed to an excessive amount of zinc can result in copper depletion and serious negative adverse neurological effects. In 2008, the peer reviewed journal "Neurology" reported on patients suffering from neuropathy and other neurological symptoms typical of zinc poisoning and copper depletion. It was determined that excess use of denture cream could have been responsible for their symptoms. Yet it is still on the market.

GlaxoSmithKline which makes Super Poligrip also had zinc in some of their denture cream formulas. They reformulated it in Feb. but if you're using the older formulas and experiencing symptoms it may be linked to the denture cream.
