Hey guys, really glad to know I'm not the only one.. Lebron if u still come on , I was just going to experiment with my diet and u helped confirm that... I've been to two dermatologist within a year and both said it was seb derm but from pics I've seen it's doesn't.. It's little white sebum balls attach to the root of my hair.. It's been 4 yrs that I've had this problem and I've tried everything... I've been using nizoral 2% for the most of the time.. It's helped with the hairless but my hairline has definitely receeded.. I do shower with cold water and also have cut sugar and dairy out of my diet.. I'm working on slowly cutting out more... But what has helped me is drinking alot of water!! And working out .. Helped unclog all the built up sebum.. I also switch off on shampoos.. I've used organic shampoos and nizoral.. Def stay away from any sodium sulfate and laureth sulfate. But I honestly believe there's no name for it lol.. But I will spend the next month cutting out my diet and I will post again to let everyone know how it goes.

I've had many patients come in with this problem so dont think your alone, what I've learnt is that most people that have this problem also suffer from acne, I'm starting to think there's a link, I've given 3 of my patients Tetralysal antibiotics and as there acne clears up so does this dandruff problem. To all those that are suffering from this please can you confirm whether you had or have acne in the past, it will greatly help my research and to cure this problem.
Thank you,

please help me guys...i have white balls on my scalp as well as dandruff. whenever i pick off these balls ...2-3 strands also come out along with it. it would be great if you tell me some solution involving oil & natural products.
i'm extremely worried about my hair....sometimes i even think that if this will continue..i will loose all my hair. help me please!
Whatever this crud is- it is not dandruff, not lice, not sebum. The sebum and dandruff are there too. but the crud is different. It looks like tiny strands of thread and little hard round balls, if you look at it magnified- maybe fungal? I cant get rid of it. It was not always there. My hair falls out in HUGE handfulls. Im so afraid I will go bald- fast. I used to have very long hair, but with a pony tail the diameter of a pencil, I had to cut it all off. This stuff reappears no matter how well, I wash my hair. I do not use any other products. No hairspray, ect.Dandruff shampoo doesnt do anything. Photos of Morgellans fibers look exactly the same as what I have.

My dear friends, I too have this same problem. I have tried several medications to get rid this. But nothing could effect. Finally after a huge research I found that JOJOBA oil can eliminate this. Now I am using jojoba oil to control the sebum production and to get rid this whitey hard wax balls..

I have this very same thing but it seems to also be effecting my upper body and feet! I'm so stressed and upset as it has been three weeks with no answers. I can't get into a dermatologist for 3 months and I'm miserable. Did you find anything else out?

Well what a relief. Ive just started EATING plantain!! Haha..i dont believe ive experienced hair loss, i have already switched to sulfate free shampoo, even before i realized this was becoming an issue. I miss my shampoo with baking soda, do you think this might make it worse?-ive been doing this because im trying to make the best of my dreadlock journey-but i fear that this "stuff" will build up. I always feel fresh after i shower, but when i check in the mirror, my hair is covered in these lottle white balls. It makes me so frustrated. I really just want it to end. I dont ever take medicine unless i really need it, dont believe its useful if its just a cold you know? But do you think my diet could also have something to do with it?-im a pescatarian, and ive been eating plantain, clovers, dandelions etc.. I eat really healthy but this is becoming a problem...does anyone have an idea?

Hi, I too had this same problem. My hairs were falling out with this sebum balls attached to the ends of each and every hair strands. I was actually paranoid because of that. Finally I found a solution to cure this problem. The sebum balls are actually excess sebum secreted from the sebaceous glands. It has close relation with the hormone itself. This excess sebum getting hardened when it comes out from the scalp. To cure this problem first we need to control the over production of sebum in the sebaceous glands. So what you need to do is buy Jojoba Oil and Tea Tree oil then pour 5/5 drops together and mix thoroughly and then apply to the scalp gently every alternate days. Allow it to stay there for at least 2 hours. Then wash it away by using mild organic shampoos. It's given, it will help.

Hi
I have suffered black grain sized ball falling from my hair and sits in my skin, My skin even produced white balls from my eye sockets dropping to my eye lids, and where I removed the small balls from my arms face shoulders and back, they left open sores, but they soon healed, but the problem would reoccur, a few hours later or when I was hot.
I read some ones comment this morning and used the sea salt, so far so good, but would love to know what causes this ?, as not even the hospital or doctors helped.
No one believed what I said and friends thought I was nuts,

Do you ever find the little white balls falling on your cheeks or down on your side of your face and even on your forearms at times?

These little white round balls built up over time. My head started itching in high school. Could be fungal as well. Over the years the quantity has increased and the hair diameter decreased. Very annoying. At one point there was intense itching and even really weird pain. One side of my head is thinner than the other. Though this right side has started filling in at the temple. I have been topically applying and adding so many supplements in a particular regimin I can't say if it was a fluke or what it might have been. Digestion and bowel movements are a problem (lacking) and I even get sharp pain around the kidney or the adrenal (above the kidney?). I think it's to far back to be liver pain but that is possible as well. I think I have become immune or less sensitive to heat as well.

I see that U wrote this quite a while ago and hope U are doing better. I`m replying to U and all who have this problem. I can help U abt. the ITCH and hopefully this will eventually lead to the `little hard white balls and hair loss` occuring! I had read an article re: APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!! Too excited to try it, I didn`t look up how they said to use it. I shampooed my hair the usual twice, then pour, full-strength the ACV on my head! then rinsed again and added some conditioner to mask the vinegar smell and also as I have tangly hair. GUESS WHAT!!! My days of SCRATCHING for HOURS hopefully are past!!(2 weeks now - and I`ve only done this twice!). I will continue with this as the occasional itch comes back and unfortunately the hardened balls (I think this is due to dead skin not letting new hair go thru and a liquid form to the rescue only to HARDEN). Anyway, the great article I had read (and now can`t find) said all will clear in time. Hope this works as well for all of U!!!

I hope I have an answer for U!!! I poured the APPLE CIDER VINEGAR full strength over my scalp (make sure Ur eyes are covered or at least try to not get this in them), after the usual shampooing twice, then rinsed and added some conditioner to mask the vinegar smell and as I have tangly hair anyway. I have only done this twice in 2 weeks and am ITCH-FREE!!! The article which I had read but cannot now find, said it will get worse before getting better - at least my HOURS of ITHCING ARE DONE! I believe it is dead skin and oli not allowing new hair to come thru and a liquid tries to rescue that under the skin turns hard. Hope this helps ALL of U!

I had a brownish tiny pebble size piece of something in my scalp it felt like a pimple so I left it alone but then I got annoyed so I picked at it and took it out. It was a tiny bit painful and it bled a little. I have no idea what it is. Has anyone ever had this? Or know what this might be?

Hey JLJ, you're not the only one who is suffering. You just described my scalp problem I've had for a year and a half now. I have no idea what's causing it and I'm just curious if you found any remedies or even what causes this? I'm so lost, I hope you can help me and I hope you are well.
