Alcoholics drink it when they run out of booze. Saw that on Intervention.
Wasn't that the saddest thing you ever saw? That woman cradling the bottle of mouthwash like a baby, she just wanted to sleep with it...but the husband wouldn't let her because she would just drink it? She would come out and look at it and go back to bed....sad....

Wow. If it can do all that, Listerine sounds like it could be more qualified to be president than Obama!

when I was a little girl about 60 years ago I got a ringwrom in my head and my hair came out in that spot.
My mother washed my hair every day and poured Listerine back and forth on it. It healed the ringworm and my hair came back in.

This reminds me of the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" where Windex was used for just about everything!

We have used it to take out the cat and dog odor's it works great, you just put it into the wash with the stained item and detergent and the smell is gone.

Cindy......Thanks for the info about using it for hot spots on dogs. My dog is driving us crazy with the digging of the skin. Will certainly try it.

Once as a little girl, I wanted to make hot sauce they way my Dad did. Well the oil from the jalapenos got on my fingers and I cried and my parents didn't know what to do. So my Dad suggested listerine and it worked!! The sting and the pain went away!

This is hilarious. I clicked on the article because I thought it was going to talk about their "new" purple one!! My dentist told me about it a couple weeks ago, it is the only mouthwash with fluoride in it, and it strengthens teeth. I bought some and noticed on the back "THIS FORMULA IS NOT SOLD TO ANY RETAILER AS A STORE BRAND." Also, this product (purple) is not intended to help prevent plaque or gingivitis. GEEEEZZZZ, so many choices.

In Obama's defense I have to say "No, you mean McSame or unknown/inexperienced Palin. Well, inexperienced except for making babies, that seems to run in the family. Even having them after forty and bringing a Down's Syndrome child into the world when she should have known better.

My mom used to mix listerine with baking soda into a paste to soothe bee stings. Worked pretty good.

No matter how many baths or medications I would use to stop the itch in my nether region, nothing worked until I got a clean wash cloth and dampened it w/ listerene. I have no more itch no matter how much I sweat.
